Devaluation Axis ACE Dead? GPay Removed Credit Card Option for electricity Bill Payment - Discussion

Hi guys,

GPay recently started charging a convenience fee for paying electricity bills using the Axis ACE card. This was one of the best cards for bill payments due to its 5% cashback. However, when I tried paying my bill today, I realized that the option to select my existing linked card was missing.

Is it gone for everyone else here? Is this the last nail in the coffin :/

There's literally no point in keeping this card except for 1.5% offline spends.

I also closed ace yesterday and they gave myzone LTF. Will keep myzone for sometime and if don't see any benefit then close it soon. Last time also when I took it and asked to close they said they will change it to LTF but at that since I needed other axis cards so went forward closing it.

Even with convience fee I was using ace. If ebills is permanently removed then this card is dead

Planning to change to Airtel axis card. Does Airtel card give bank discount offers on festival sales? Is it considered core card?

I heard - In my gpay, ace cc not showing up for paying electricity bills, but showing (with conv fee) for mobile recharges & dth..

Although RuPay cc showing up for all

It's not about iPhone I think, they removed it for electricity bills for everyone 😞

They told about ace benefits and when I said I am not interested in continuing with ace they gave me option to take myzone LTF. Not sure if they will give an option to take another card LTF.

Just by reading her comment I did try to reinstall the gpay the problem is solved guys try this troubleshoot


1) sign out from gpay
2) wait for 10 mins
3) install gpay
4) sign up
5) then try
6) it's done
