Axis Ace Unwrapping

My association with Axis started with Axis Neo card way back in 2017. This was my first card with them and came as a pre-approved card without a need of any documents or verification.

Then came the Flipkart Axis card in 2019, it used to be one of the best cards of it's time (still is in Flipkart world). I used this card for almost 4 years, tried my level best to convert it to LTF but Axis didn't budge. They only added salt to my wounds when they offered this card as LTF to new customers last year. Again efforts for converting this card to LTF went in vain. Finally I decided that this card has to go and made up my mind to cancel it just before when the annual fee is due.

What card: Then came the question which Axis card should I apply next? In the list of pre-approved cards, I had an option to apply for Magnus, Privilege, Atlas, and Ace. Magnus offered many perks but the joining and annual fee of 10,000 +GST was biggest deterrent for me. Also, spending of 1,00,000 per month was a hit or miss, I could have easily manufactured the 1L spend every month (wallet loads, rent payment etc.). However, I didn't want to waste my energies in doing so.

Ace: Though I am bit late to the Ace party and this card has already devalued a lot. Nevertheless, I still applied for it as it is only cards which offers 5% cashback on utility bill payments via GPay (Android) and 2% unlimited cashback on offline transactions (except fuel, jewellery, cash advances and EMI). Finally chose Axis Ace, as I usually spend more than 10K on utility bills per month and Ace can really come in handy for those bills.

Unwrapping: Packaging of this card is nothing to talk home about as it's just an envelope wrapped in plastic. Axis should have put more though in designing decent packing for this card.

I am holding Flipkart since the day when it was first launched, that time they offered Flipkart gift vouchers of worth 1000 Rs as a part of the welcome benefits. Used this card to the brim and managed to earn cashback of more than 5,538 Rs. in the entire duration of the possession of this card. I would have kept this card for long had they not offered it to new joiners as LTF.
Due to recently launched sbi cb cards.... All others will feel the heat.. U can expect a lot if ltf and pre approved offers.... It best to apply in offers...

Samsung website has HDFC Bank offers
Big man let me tell you that HDFC runs offers on Apple.com throughout the year
But that doesn't mean i'd buy from Apple.com when i'm getting the same product on an e-commerce platform (listed cheaper and has year round 5% cashback)
You'd say that i'd be able to save 1k more on expensive products but the thing is i don't want to create anather account to order electronics from the manufacturer

I am not suggesting anyone here to opt for HDFC Bank offers or anything like that.. obviously one would purchase the product wherever they are getting it cheaper including bank offers, the reason I mentioned abt Samsung was just because I thought the discussion was abt lack of HDFC specific offers for Shopping.
