I did a payment of Rs 9660 at Apollo pharmacy and instead of charging my card, my 9660 Edge Miles were redeemed. I had an argument with Pharmacy guy. But he says, they don't have option to select points or card. Their POS machine is connected to their system and they cant access their machine directly. They can't reverse my transaction. I had been accumulating these points since few months, to redeem as air miles. It would have amounted to Rs. 19,320 as air miles. Who is at fault? Apollo or Axis Bank? Can I get my points back and charge my card? Please suggest.

So, if transaction is cancelled from Apollo side, will I get back my edge rewards?
Anybody has similar issue and got rewards re-credited? Please suggest.

You can try there's nothing to lose, you might get the money back in atlas which you eventually pay through cash.

Apollo went back on their word. Can't reverse the transaction as it's already settled is their new argument now.

Happened with me for my M4B at 7eleven. I enabled tap to pay and the cashier tapped the card on the terminal for INR 800. Instead of the money getting debited, 3970 points got debited.
I called customer care, they said it cannot be reversed by them and need to ask the merchant. They also mentioned that if the merchant agrees to reverse the transaction and if payment is made by card/cash, there is no guarantee that edge points will be reversed. The POS was PineLabs and as per the cashier they said there is no option to change anything.
I eventually let it go.

Yup, never use tap and pay. Iv never enabled tap and pay for any of my cards. This was the first time in my entire credit card history that I enabled it for small transaction and learnt my lesson.

Yes tap and pay i never used since a bit panic of miss spending while walking near cashiers table 😊

Coming to this Atlas has a problem on Pine Labs machines. The chip doesn't work and only Tap and Pay does. I've complained to Axis but as usual nothing happened.

The best you can do is not to keep more than around 1500 Edge Miles in the account. Dealing with Axshit requires massive amounts of due diligence, planning and caution from the customer's part.

Not only atlas
My select card also out of 10, 2 or 3 pinelab machines not sensing the chip
I ask for another machine if store is small i give hdfc card

I also feel that PineLabs has set the default payment to pay by points or miles for Axis cards if tapped on the machine. Maybe this is on Axis's request considering Axis is capable of anything.
I mean, how can you not have a setting to change payment mode from points to cash on the machine.. it's a ridiculously silly excuse.

Amex has this option to disable pay by points feature for transactions.

I think Axis could also build something similar so that points don't get mistakenly redeemed for online/offline transactions.
But Axis being Axis, I don't know how they implement it and might block all usage of points lol.

alternately you should buy online medicines at 25% discount on Pharmeasy or up to 70% discount for generic medicines on Zeno healthcare

Couple questions.

Where to buy Apollo vouchers at 24% ? Is this Atlas special value or will other Axis cards (FK, Airtel) also give this?

Is 25% on PharmEasy also Axis specific and running or does it need something from Axis portals?
