Axis Atlas

7.5 Lakh gives additional 5000EM. Total 2500 (at 3L) + 5000 (7.5L) = 7500 EM = 15000 points = 2% of 7.5L
Has anyone received 2500 + 5000 = 7500 Atlas edge miles = 15000 points for spending 7.5 lacs?

Has anyone received 2500 + 2500 = 5000 Atlas edge miles = 10000 points for spending 7.5 lacs?

I may have seen it on twitter. Anyway, the logic goes like, for 3L spends you get 2500 EM, then for next 4.5L spend, why would they give less reward?

Yes .... have received all ...
Welcome 5K + Milestone 2.5K + 5K + 10K
Wow, with such fabulous offers from Axis & smart customers like you, Amex will have a tough time selling Amex MRCC, Amex gold and Amex Platinum Travel cards

Why?
MRCC & GOLD are 6K per month card for me ...
Travel Plat is a 4L card ....

All can co-exist if u plan a good credit card portfolio to match your spending pattern

Yes. If you want to book mid range and budget hotels, then better to go for Cashback cards. Anirban had posted one post about cashback game vs miles game

Value derived from Miles / points game is much higher when you book premium properties than booking mid range properties

Ageed, that is because the business class tickets and premium properties are over priced for cash payment anyway.

But I look at value and I know that a little better is much more expensive, (and not the price I am willing to pay).

For example I would be willing to pay only 20% more for a business class ticket, 25% more for 4* and 50% more for a 5* Hotel.
Because we are outside sightseeing the whole day and spend only 8 hours at night in the hotel (to sleep)

Yes Premium properties are overpriced. Which is exactly why there is lot of value in using points as paying cash does not make sense (except for a few ultra rich folks). Using points makes it easier to experience it which was otherwise not possible. Thats what makes it a high value.

Value attached here is of experience and not utility

There is an exclusivity element in all this - which people pay for. If Business class was only 20% more, then everyone would be taking business class and everyone would be staying in five star hotels. Which is not possible in real world.

10% markup is incorrect. It varies. I have seen from few rupees to few hundreds. Not till 10%. But yes slightly more than other portals.
