Axis Atlas

Atlas was available as upgrade on my Vistara Infinite.
How is Atlas an upgrade over VI? Considering VI is 10k and Atlas is 5K

There's no need to hold a Savings Account if you already have a card. You can call customer care and inquire about any pre-approved cards that may be available.
Yea i know but their system glitches if you hold co-branded card even if it's VI

One more thing I would like to add: if you wish to keep both cards, that is also possible. Just let them know you don't want an upgrade and, instead, prefer to have that card issued separately. Currently, since you have already taken it as an upgrade, it's not possible, but you can use this in the future.

My VI will remain active.. it's just the word upgrade they use.

Guys i am travelling with familly to Thiruvananthapuram in August. Should I make the flight booking through travel edge using atlas or through indigo using atlas? also thinking about getting Airbnb since we are 5. mother wants to visit padmanabha swamy temple.

I think the accelerated miles are same for both airline website MCC and travel edge for Atlas. And now there is no convenience fee in both indigo and travel edge. So just compare the price and book accordingly.

Now a days you can get nice holiday homes in booking.com itself. Give a try in that.

Definitely via TravelEdge using Atlas. I have also found the TE support to be fairly responsive for any issues. Only thing while on booking page take care to uncheck the points / miles redemption use - else they will be taken at 25% value before final payment. It is checked by default.

Padmanabhaswamy temple allows men only in veshti and angavastram and women in sarees. So better to take a pair before going to the temple instead of buying it from outside the temple.

Booking.com also gives 5em on spends?

Sorry I don't know that as I don't hold Atlas. I remember they specified MCC categories in their website for hotels to be eligible for 5EM. Best is to refer and get it from booking.com. but you may have to pay through them and not at property if they have that MCC.

It mentions aggregator spends are not eligible.

Is it a good idea to go there on 17th August? Rain will be ok right?

Should be ok. Not from the place per se but my typical observation is rains tend to taper down from mid August along Kerala, Maharashtra coasts. So it may be wet but not pouring is my guess.

Saw in Twitter many are posting Atlas still gives edge miles for government transactions. So for high government spend folks, Atlas will be an option.

Axis soon will plug this once it sells Atlas in good numbers 🙂

My 2 C suggestion, take Atlas if one can spend >7.5L annually on Travel spend, else its useless for majority of people.

I am eagerly awaiting for my Atlas. 🙂

Even with 3L annual spends it's good because your effective annual fees becomes 0 (without tax). Even without 3L annual spends, you are getting 5k airmiles/hotel points for 5.9k of card fees which if converted to Accor are pretty decent in my opinion.
