Axis bank account close without axis banks credit card closing

I have an axis bank basis savings account & i have 3 credit cards of axis bank. I want to close only axis savings account. So I visited my axis bank branch they said if i closed my bank account they all so close my credit card. Is there any solution?

You can close it without closing cc. Go to same bank, this time ask them provide the same info 'in writing' and say will escalate to PNO and complain to RBI.

as mentioned 100% possible, they don't want you to close the account, so bluffing.

Dm Axis Bank in twitter that the branch is not cooperating and closing my account.
Send them branch IFSC code and address. You will get call from branch to close the account.

You can now close Axis bank account thru the app itself , no need to visit branch

It gets closed, fully online, no branch visit.

Actually this was a CitiBank feature which got carried over.

Only bank account will get closed not credit cards (For the OP)

I tried closing my axis savings account online but I get the error saying “you have active credit card linked to this account. You need to visit branch to close the account”.

Anyone faced this ? and managed to close it online ? I will go to branch if no option.

I had a axis ace cc. When i went to axis bank branch to close my savings acc, they said auto debit of cc is linked to savings acc, so i need to remove auto debit to close the acc.

Tried through app to delink auto debit, got error. Asked cc customer care to delink, they said their system is down, call back later.

Asked again after 7 days, customer care said the same thing.

Irritated, I closed the cc, got the noc, asked them to update the credit bureaus and finally closed the savings acc. No relation with axis now, living a peaceful life.
