Axis bank agent created a second application and Axis rejected it citing duplicate requests

I applied for Axis Airtel CC last week from Axis website. The home verification guy came yesterday for Aadhaar biometric authentication but also filled up the form in his app with all my details again. Last night I got a message from Axis with second application number so I realised the agent filed a fresh application. Now Axis has 2 requests and declined to process my application. This is a bait and switch and complete lying by the agent just to get a commission. I am infuriated. What should be my course of action? Any help would be appreciated.

This is exactly what happened to me once upon a time.

I once applied for the Axis MyZone LTF from the Axis website. When the agent came for KYC, he clearly mentioned that he was applying for my application through the offline route because Axis would automatically decline my online application since I am an existing cardholder.

This is such bullshit! I am not even an Axis Customer. No prior relationship before this. I'm afraid these agents will give any kind of excuse to file a second application. How did it go after that for you? What did you do?

Both applications got declined. Later, I applied for the Axis Neo LTF through customer support because I am an existing customer, and the card was generated instantly.

actually a brilliant idea by Axis lol now can just decline applications without having to worry about RBI Ombudsman as they can just say duplicate application that is why we denied

This is so shady from Axis. The only good thing going for them is their cards are pretty good, especially the Airtel one. Otherwise, I wouldn't give them my money at all

their cards are not pretty good anymore. Only worthwhile cards remaining are Airtel, Atlas and Magnus burgundy.

Mere dost ke sath bhi hua. He complaint till RBI, but axis Bank still declined the request for LTF my zone card.

Agent will not get any commission if your application is denied
so he does not benefit in any way

I also face the same situation. The old application was rejected for being duplicate and another agent called me for another verification. I was out of station and had to ask him to wait till i came back.

I contacted the old agent who is asking me to wait. And he did take my payslip and photo of me and my pan card for verification and says that the verification is done.

So do i redo the verification or just wait?

I don't know how it will go for your particular case. But for me, it was as expected – the first application got rejected because they received a duplicate request and the second is still in process. I don't have any hope
