Axis Bank Credit Card Applied Without my Knowledge - Query

TF Buzz
Yesterday I received a text mention that my application is successful. But at that time I was asleep. I don't know how this was applied without my knowledge and no otp came on my number as well.

I have not applied for any credit card and as I have already mentioned I was asleep at that time. I cannot even apply for axis card as I recently got one. It's been just a month since I have applied for the card in January.

How was this authorised as I did not receive any otp. And also cibil enquiry it has caused.

Any help would be appreciated, what should I do here?
Have already emailed axis mentioning the same.

Please wait for the reply. If you don't get a satisfactory reply within the next 30 days, approach RBIO at https://cms.rbi.org.in/cms/indexpage.html and ask for maximum compensation.

If you get a unsatisfactory reply (within 30 days), approach nodal and PNO mentioned in under the heading (Do you want to Escalate your Complaint?)...

In Axis, credit card application can be made without any cooling period or interval.

I'm not sure if you were using Axis mobile application and browsing the credit card section and ended up applying for a credit card.
If you applied, CIBIL will be hit.

Did you get any application number in the SMS?
Even if you didn't, try searching here:

Try to call Axis support at 1860-419-5555/ 1860-500-5555 and ask about the details of the new application. Ask for the applicant name, etc.

Using these medium, first try to find out the details of this new application.
If the details doesn't belong to you or you didn't provide consent for it, or the application's outcome isn't favorable to you, then do what is mentioned in the post above.

Also, as I keep mentioning, one does not have to wait for 30 days to report to RBIO if they have received the unsatisfactory response from the highest redressal authority of the bank i.e. PNO in your case.

No I haven't done anything as I've said I was asleep. I've already escalated it with pno axis.

I've already emailed Axis about the issue and how can I report it to cibil?

how can I report it to cibil?

Unfortunately, you can't. Even if you report it to CIBIL, it will ask you to contact the bank. This is the standard process.

Only Axis can revert the CIBIL report. You can deal with it later or make a separate complaint to Axis and then to RBIO.

Update - Today it happened again!

Probably, the same application. I may be wrong.

I also received a message from cibil yesterday that my cibil is checked by Axis.
I haven't applied for anything from axis.
Stupid axis.
Will mail pno and ask about it.

So, something seems really fishy.
