Axis Bank to charge 25paise per sms from 15th December 2024

I just got a intimation from axis that mandatory sms as per rbi regulation ( I guess intimation for change in balance/settings change) will be charged 25p/sms with maximum charges being RS15 /qtr.

Anyone else got this intimation? Is this just for account holders or for cc holders as well?

and if they start this much torture then I will be closing my account as well as card from axis.

What's the benefit of maintaining MAB with them then?

Yes. This has been suspended for months. I tried to close through app in late September. It told me to visit branch. I've visited branch twice. Signed the closure form. Even gave them reminder. Its still not closed after 3 months. Balance has gone negative. I think they waiting for rbi complaint. 😅

My Friend Gender in Axis account is Female even though he is male. He tried around 10 times giving the form, sending mails and letter to customer care and all but no use. Funny thing is he have Magnus, Old VI card, Atlas and all.

So axis has updated cibil as male or female? 🤣 people gets rejected due to income details mismatch. Imagine getting rejected for gender details mismatch.
