Axis Bank to charge 25paise per sms from 15th December 2024

I just got a intimation from axis that mandatory sms as per rbi regulation ( I guess intimation for change in balance/settings change) will be charged 25p/sms with maximum charges being RS15 /qtr.

Anyone else got this intimation? Is this just for account holders or for cc holders as well?

Canara ko bhul gaye kya? Har chiz ka paisa hai banking custom ko dekhta bhi nahi, pehle toh UPI ka bhi tha, uske alawa everything is chargeable, everything means everything even email/ phone number update, nominee update and what not.
Sorry bro, mai aajtk ek hi psu bank me gya hu wo v sbi qki ghr se njdik hai, baaki hdfc, Icici k RM to ghr pe hi aa jaate hai under 200m hai tino k branch se ghr, axis within 500m isliye open krwa liya tha but ab bhaad me jae
 
Don't want to waste my time in rbi bo. Last time I complained against axis for duplicate cibil enquiry. They waited almost a month to respond after rbi complaint. They called me and asked for cibil report which I had already sent from beginning. Then they asked for control number. I was very busy around that time. They didn't even give me 48hrs to respond. And rbi closed the case in their favour.
My time is worth much more than the reward/compensation axis can give. I have already taken out all my money. The account will automatically go dormant. Will keep only ltf neo cc for ecom offers.
I don't think now I saw many offers are coming with 3-4 banks and axis can be ignored now

Your call and yes if it's going this way then it's waste of time and effort.

As always said most of the BOs' are incompetent and bias.

what bullshit is this....
so tomorrow if they'll message all cardholders about bill generation then it means 25 paisa each message?
and what about OTPs?
 
IMO, it isn't a big deal to pay 5 rs a month.
It's not about 5rs. It's about avoiding a slippery slope.
1st bank stopped paying rp for rent(which was a fair call). Stopped paying rp for utility bill(still OK.).
Then Started introducing upper limit.
Now some have introduced upper limit as low as 10/15 k for fuel , utility bills etc. And it's better not to even talk about current rewards/milestone exclusions list.

if they start charging per sms for bank account. Tomorrow theyll start for cc /demat. Then they'll remove upper limit for this sms charge.
Next 5rs for tea, 25p extra for upi .😅
 
Really? Not for you, but it's very big deal for other general public.

People can pay ₹100 for a product but can not pay ₹80 for the same product and ₹20 delivery charge or any other charge. This is what mindset is.
I think this message from axis is also triggering one thing in my mind and that is 15th is Sunday and 16th is Monday they will definitely deduct charges from accounts on Sunday.

People going for Account closure on Monday may also face closure charges
