Axis do cibil inquiry for limit increase?

I got cibil inquiry yesterday from axis bank for credit card with amount showing 10,000

But I didn't applied for any Axis cc and
I already have freecharge axis cc with 15k limit

I mailed to pno for credit limit increase before 4 days.
Is this the reason for cibil check?

Or it's some unauthorised inquiry and I should file complaint to remove it?

Manual Credit limit increase request can cause hard enquiry.

Manual Credit Limit Enhancement = Sending ITR / Pay slips

Did you request LE by attaching supporting docs like Salary slips/ITR? If yes then thats the reason.. its normal

Most bank do CIBIL enquiry when asking for manual LE.

For pre-approved LE, usually enquiry is not done.

I also thought they wont increase that much I asked for 30-35k as my SBI cc have 32k so expected only 25-30k😂
May be they looked my cibil and good utilisation
