Axis do cibil inquiry for limit increase?

I got cibil inquiry yesterday from axis bank for credit card with amount showing 10,000

But I didn't applied for any Axis cc and
I already have freecharge axis cc with 15k limit

I mailed to pno for credit limit increase before 4 days.
Is this the reason for cibil check?

Or it's some unauthorised inquiry and I should file complaint to remove it?

Bro what documents did you submitted for manual limit increase, if ITR did you submit P&L statement apart from ITR acknowledgement and Computation sheet? Thanks.

They asked only for ITR and computation. Nothing else. Though I sent a bank statement of my sister in the email for safety.
And they will get your cibil report with a hard enquiry.

It took 4 days for me.
3rd day they did inquiry

I recieved pre-approved LE on my Citi credit card. I consented for the same but I see 2 hard enquiries from Axis bank. I requested them to remove it.

They are "working on it". 🤣
