Axis Bank Flipkart Credit Card – Annual Charge Concerns

  • I’ve been charged ₹500 + GST again this year—4th year for the Flipkart Axis card, and 3rd year on the MyZone card.
  • I’ve kept the Flipkart card mostly because it was my first credit card, but honestly…
  • With the recent devaluation, and because I already have SBI Cashback, HDFC Swiggy, etc., I’m not sure it’s worth keeping anymore.
  • Since the annual fee has already been charged this year, is there any room for negotiation?
    • Can I request to make it Lifetime Free (LTF)?
    • Or have the charges reversed / compensated via Edge Reward points?
    • Or maybe switch to a better card without a fee?
  • I’ve heard Axis is usually rigid with these things, but thought I’d ask.
  • If they aren’t willing to accommodate, should I just close it now to avoid unnecessary fees?
  • I use the card maybe twice a year, mainly for the ₹120 Swiggy discount, which hardly justifies the yearly cost anymore.
  • My current Axis CC portfolio: Flipkart, Myzone -paid; Neo -LTF
Any advice or recent experiences on what’s worked in situations like this would be appreciated!

Convert MyZone to LTF first
