Hey TF Community,

It's my first post here.

I want to share my experience and hear the expert opinion here.

I am willing to add an Axis CC to my portfolio so that I can avail the Bank offers on different apps that come from time to time.

My first application was for Flipkart Axis Card in 2021, which was declined. No response or reason was provided.

I applied again in August last year when MyZone Credit Card was LTF. The application was again rejected because of 'internal policy'.

In October, I was on a call with Axis Customer Care when I asked them about Card offers, and I was again told that there was a pre-approved offer on Axis MyZone. I applied for it and was rejected again due to 'Internal Policy'.

I raised this to Nodal Officer and even to RBI Ombudsman but nothing eventually happened. No reason was provided to me, even after fighting for months.

I thought this might have happened because of certain cooling periods, so I decided to wait.

Last week, I noticed that IndianOil Axis Card was being provided on LTF basis and guess what, once again it was rejected.

Things to Notice:
I have a 5-year-old Axis Priority Account. Even my home loan is with Axis.
CIBIL is 800+ (OneScore)
Zero Payment Defaults

Anybody having an idea what could be the reason behind all this?

Hi @aggrox

Axis bank doesn't have any cooling period issues. I have faced same issue with them for 8 months but found out the issue from RM ( I had Add On Card Issue) - Right now I got 3 Axis cards within one month. Axis Magnus Card, Privilege and Vistara Infinite. I have applied to Axis cards more than 20 times in past 6 months.

Issues You might have:

1. Did you miss any of the EMI's or delayed your payments?
2. Change of address or different address in your Home loan and your bank account?
3. Add on card issue like Mine (Has someone applied Add on card on your name in the past?)

@bvc19296
This seems really interesting to understand.
I would like to ask you regarding the point no.3 of addon card.
Could you pl elaborate about this issue, like did you have addon card from your parent's credit card or did you provide addon card to someone from your primary card? Which of these was applicable to your case?
Also, the addon which you're talking about is from AXIS itself, if not pl let us know which bank it belongs to.
This is a new kind of issue, have heard of first time, so your detailed views will help a lot!
Thanks.
