Axis savings account open/upgrade

This is the information about Axis Prestige Savings account: https://www.axisbank.com/retail/accounts/savings-account/prestige-digital-savings-account

Can I change my existing savings account to the above account and how?
The prestige account has the feature, as mentioned on the above link, to offer 10% cashback via Grabdeals. What if I use my existing Amazon credit card for Amazon or a Flipkart card at Flipkart during purchase? Will the net effective cashback be 15%?

The Grabdeals part will only work if you use the Prestige debit card to complete the transaction.

And looking at the Grabdeals site, appears that the 10% offer is valid only for six months from the date of account opening.

"Flat 10% cashback for digital saving and salary account which are opened after 1st May,2023. This offer is valid for up to 180 days from date of account opening"

Can you give reference link for the quoted part? I did not find anything which said that the 10% cashback is valid only for the first six months since the date of account opening.

Found it. Thanks. About the 15% cashback point, is it really important to use Prestige debit card? I found a thread in which some people availed 15% cashback in the past but I am not sure if it is valid any longer:

Are you sure about using the Prestige debit card for availing the cashback?

Prestige DC is guaranteed cashback for new digital savings accounts, because the T&C's explicitly say so.

If they don't give it, you can go after them, and they'll definitely give it.

You could probably use any other Axis debit/credit card, and it might work too, but the risk is always there with Axis.

You mentioned "amazon credit card for amazon" (which I thought was Amazon ICICI because Axis doesn't have an Amazon dedicated card IMO), and which would obviously not work for Grabdeals.

Yes I actually meant the Amazon ICICI card. So any Axis card can work but other banks' credit cards won't work?

The Grabdeals site is Axis focused, so it would work only for Axis card holders. You need to specify the card you'd be using before proceeding to Grabdeals and use that specific card at checkout time, so the question of using Amazon ICICI for cashback doesn't arise.

Think of Grabdeals as an Axis affiliate site- they'll get some commission from the merchant, and so are passing some of that commission to you.
