Axis Savings Account Upgrade Query

Dear Axis user I am getting below upgrade what are additional charges need to keep in mind right now it is rural 2500 mab not using from last many years account due to unnecessary charges

Even if its a free upgrade, they will ask you to maintain 75k in saving account mab or 1.5 L in saving+ fd.
If you can maintain then go for it.
Otherwise 10k mab account in IDFC, everything is free from debit card issuance to annual fees, no sms charges, almost all charges are free there
 
Strange! Even I sent SMS to drop out of the offer and Axis sent me a confirmation SMS regarding that. But yesterday, I suddenly noticed that Axis has upgraded my account. This is so wrong. I called them and they said I have to visit branch to downgrade it.
I found something fishy here axis upgraded my ac with prestige logo even after opted out sms but ac variant is different download latest statement let us know

@thanix can you please guide how to downgrade ac to old easy access variant from this sampann 75 k mab .

already reported to twitter & cc team but they willing to branch visit but upgrade of ac done on without consent by home branch .

With Axis, it is very tough to do online. Even while upgrading, they will send an email that upgrade is automatic and if you don't want, you need to mail back.

Anyway, my wife stood her ground, got the debit card charges waived off, closed that debit card, got new free debit card available for that account variant and moved on.

Please document everything in email if you want to fight it out.

What will be best possible suggestions i feel they will not downgrade even after branch visit?

It mentioned free dc in net banking section for prestige dc but button never worked for apply online .
 
My account also got upgraded to liberty savings account even though I opt out but required mab remains the same as old account also I in the debit card upgrade section there is no mention of liberty debit card upgrade

If you can go to branch, you can give a written request and it will be honoured. If not, you can complain to Regional office. When you visit, please check for DC also

Yes, I can see on the app that mab has not been changed for me too. And they also have not upgraded the debit card. So, no issue for me then. I was just worried about mab. But is there a chance that they'll increase in future? And if they have not increased the mab as of now, still I get the benefits of Liberty account?

Update - Surprisingly, Axis Bank customer care said me that even though the app is showing mab has not changed, it is changed. Now, I don't trust Axis customer care executive as much as I trust the Axis app. What do you think?
