Bank of Maharashtra || Rupay select debit card || REVIEW

This is just for information for people who hold Rupay Select Debit card (i am holding Bank Of Mahashtra- RSDC). When i sent a query to Rupay team regarding the benefits update frequency / renewal of benefits -every year or quaterly, i received following response.

"Please note for the Bank of Maharashtra Rupay Select Card starting with first 6 digits as 6524** the benefit frequency details are based on calendar year and can be redeemed once service out of each category and the details are as follows:

OTT ( Amazon Prime/ Zee5/ Sonyliv): Yearly once
Cab (Ola/ Uber): Quarterly
Healthcare (SRL/Thyrocare): Quarterly
Spa (For Fountains/ HR Wellness/ Kairali/ Aromathai/ O2 Spa/ Lakme): Quarterly
Fitness ( Cult.fit 1 Month/ Cult.fit 3 Months): Quarterly
Golf Round: Quarterly
Golf Lesson: Quarterly "

Previously i thought all benefits were updated yearly only, but now i can use the coupons extensively.
Bank of Maharashtra offered RSDC for free by opening a min bal 25k account.
i hope its useful for all members.

Turns out, it wasn't a mistake. She just admitted she deliberately gave me the Platinum card so I don’t get charged for RSDC. 😑😑

That doesn't make any sense, as platinum card is free with bss15 variant not bss25 variant
And select is ltf with bss25 variant

I would say since they have already applied for select card now so wait for 15 days(from the date select card was applied)

And no need to maintain 1L if account variant is bss25 and 25k is maintained

Yes , RSDC is LTF for BSS25.

I had an excellent experience with the branch.
Extremely helpful staff.

Timeline as below:

20-Aug-2025 : A/C opened at branch, mobile banking configured, passbook issued. (All in 20mins)
25-Aug-2025 : Cheque book delivered at residence address
1-Sep-2025 : RSDC card received at branch

Would really appreciate the operations at BOM, this was my 1st PSU bank account, impressed!

Card design looks good 🤪. Please wait as branch has already applied for RSDC
The experience varies branch to branch employee.
Keep following them up on status, and they will do things .

Then one day i see there is a option in app of applying of virtual dc, then i applied it and got rsdc…

Install Zen Lyfe app by BOM and there is option in debit card section apply virtual debit card (note this option only visible if don't have any physical card). But I'm not sure which card varient they give no clue on this. Someone tried recently please update here.

Today I have opened BSS-25 account and registered in Maha mobile app. I have generated virtual debit card, it mentioned after one hour, VDC can be viewed.
But till now the VDC is not generated. anybody generated virtual debit card through app. Is the VDC also rupay select card?

This card is not providing free international lounge access, it was showing payable in the counter. It's been 20 days since I got the card. Very frustrating exp with this back from the beginning. can anyone please confirm?

I have tried but got failed error because I have called branch and asked to apply before trying vdc.
