Bank of Maharashtra || Rupay select debit card || REVIEW

This is just for information for people who hold Rupay Select Debit card (i am holding Bank Of Mahashtra- RSDC). When i sent a query to Rupay team regarding the benefits update frequency / renewal of benefits -every year or quaterly, i received following response.

"Please note for the Bank of Maharashtra Rupay Select Card starting with first 6 digits as 6524** the benefit frequency details are based on calendar year and can be redeemed once service out of each category and the details are as follows:

OTT ( Amazon Prime/ Zee5/ Sonyliv): Yearly once
Cab (Ola/ Uber): Quarterly
Healthcare (SRL/Thyrocare): Quarterly
Spa (For Fountains/ HR Wellness/ Kairali/ Aromathai/ O2 Spa/ Lakme): Quarterly
Fitness ( Cult.fit 1 Month/ Cult.fit 3 Months): Quarterly
Golf Round: Quarterly
Golf Lesson: Quarterly "


Previously i thought all benefits were updated yearly only, but now i can use the coupons extensively.
Bank of Maharashtra offered RSDC for free by opening a min bal 25k account.
i hope its useful for all members.
 
New latest design For Rupay select debit card by Bank of Maharashtra:
Here is latest experience with account opening and getting RSDC.
Step1: open account via online BSS-25 (25K QAB account) via vkyc (if you stuck in last of online application just re-login again hit option at top complete the profile it's automatically give vkyc slot choose it and login 2min before vkc done easily).
Step2: once account activated login net Banking/Zen Lyfe new app check your account status do small funding using ac number once confirmed keep 25K.
Step3: Call to your home branch ( get number from google/customer care) then tell them i have opened account in your branch via vkyc and I need to apply check book and Rupay Select Debit Card they will apply if they ask come to branch tell some reason they do via phone itself.
Only check book received to your registered address with tracking details and not tracking available for debit card but call to branch week once get status, in 1 to 3 follow ups you get call from branch they will say come to branch for collecting your Debit card also you can check in zen Lyfe app once visible mean it will arrive soon.
Step4: Just open zen Lyfe app and set pin and select limit on all then do any bank small ATM withdrawal 100 rs That's it your will good claim all RSDC benefits.
Let me know if you have any doubts.
FYI- VDC can be apply but it's platinum it will active only till arrival of your RSDC but success rate of VDC very less i tried for failed error so.

i guess dont option for any card at time of application and apply via app after account is opened
If you apply via app after account opening getting chances of virtual RSDC are less or may get error however you can try no worries if you got platinum card then only option visit home or any branch tell them apply RSDC card they will apply but make sure your account varient type is BSS-25 (25K QAB) and if they denied then keep 1L balance to apply it and once applied then transfer 75K back and keep 25K to avoid shortfall and penalty of non maintenance of balance.
 
But Branch do not about it RSDC. They don't know how to apply they offering platinum RuPay card which available in the branch.
If you really need RSDC from BoM then Open BSS25 account. While opening account offline tell them to give RSDC and not normal DC. If they say only Platinum available then say them many of your friends with BSS25 account variant have got RSDC. So just check with BSS25 account if they can apply RSDC.

You need to get in touch with right person at the branch, somone senior or higher in terms of authority. If they don`t know still, ask them to get in touch with zonal officer.

For me senior lady at branch was aware about BSS-25 and she was aware about RSDC. As per her, only RSDC is issued for BSS-25 accounts by default so you need not worry about platinum card. Only thing is BoM sends the card at branch and you have to collect it manually. During pick up, they do something at their system end, I aksed it specifically and was told that she is activating card for further process like green pin etc at the user end.

Based on my experience I would suggest, open the account online, limited bank employees for it who does it and have limited slots per day. So don`t expect to just get in queue and it will be done instead go with suitable slot where you have time and able to do it on laptop, on mobile it will difficult. If you select a slot, they call before hand and confirm availability -- you have to start with the link and they connect once you join in.... Online account just in case the branch does know how to open BSS-25. I did this, went super sooth but the when visited bank they asked me to fill account opening form just for all infor to be uploaded in their system/scan etc. so YMMV....

I’ll go ahead and open the BSS-25 account online. Once the account is active, I’ll contact the branch again and request the RSDC directly.
 
While opening account BSS-25K this error coming on CYKC Constant "Your request could not be processed, please retry!"
I tried many time but nothing going well.

but do they actually take request for Rupay Select Debit card over call? did anyone get RSDC by calling nearby branch or we need to personally visit the branch?

Yes I have applied by call only and just visited to collect it. But i maintained 1L to show HNI to them so they don't deny our request and you can try just maintain 25K also and you will get branch number by Google or calling care try both landline and mobile they surely appy it. If they still asked tell them medical reasons i want it asap. Just convence them somehow they definitely apply by call itself.

I stucked while opening online. I went Branch but Branch person don't wanna open this account. He asked me why you need this account and something. Pathetic behavior.
He don't any work at Branch.

Where I complaint this Branch person and he is Assistance Manager and it new Branch in my city only 2 person staff

I was also but how much profile completions showing at top corner check and let me know
 
I changed debit card limit for online payment on 30th Oct and Bank of Maharashtra debited 59 on 14th November for this limit change. Nothing was mentioned in narration so lodged complaint and then BM explained that it is due to limit change. Strange.
