Banks removing Lounge benefits from non-premium cards

axi
My comment 04.07.2023 was at a time when Axis magnus (with gyftr and milestone) was the most generous credit card on earth! So that time it felt anything was possible for Axis.. Definitely don't think so now!
s was doing what ambani did with jio in the beggining due to citi takeover
but only difference is other banks wont feel the heat as they know this is unsutainable

The
Completely agreed. One barely gets a seat let alone some peaceful space to relax nowadays.
only way to make lounge uncrowded is to remove complementary access on credit and debit cards. India has huge population now almost everyone holds super premium credit card . The lounges want crowd at all the time this makes lounges profitable even if airport cost has increased drastically. Let only paying customer enjoy at lounge.

True, I hope banks will remove lounge access from entry level cards like flipkart axis etc.. It should only be allowed on either super premium card or travel cards..
There's no premium experience in lounges anymore due to overcrowding.
Super premium cards already have unlimited lounge access and also lounge access on add on cards. Why do you need more to feel superior about and flex money?
Let the people who can't afford super premium cards enjoy some lounge.

this is not social service by the bank
500 ki af and jf mein saal ka 4 lounge access bhi chahiye monthly cashback bhi chahiye
it isn't sustainable
jab magnus aur reserve devalue ho rahe hai chote card to pehle honge

It's only like with Less Income you can't get INFINIA similarly, with 500+GST of Annual Charges you can't get lounges worth 2000 INR along with the cashback.

The difference is 4-8 lounge access for smaller cards and unlimited for expensive ones. That's difference enough. Frequently air travellers will get a lot of benefits but there should be some lounge benefits for travellers that only does air travel for 1-2 times in a year.

Banks buy 1 lounge access for 400-500 rupees. So yeah it's true that for 4 lounges it's 2000 rupees but 90% of people don't use that. This is the business model for small cards. Banks know that most people won't use it but some people will use it 1-2 times. This is how they are able to give lounge access to small cards.

you must not have seen the crowding at airports then
i have seen people emptying their wallets and trying all their cards oneby on to check for free access.
moreover i have seen people give a visa card instead of mastercard when told that a 25 rs charge will be created to validate the card and it is refundable as mentioned by that guy.
if LTF or non premium cards start giving access just like premium cards there is no difference between the both
