Same product available at 28k in Flipkart compared to 38k in Amazon.
Where?
It's showing 40990 and with ICICI card discount of 6k it's showing 34890 as final price. There is no 28k price for this model.

And i bought it for 33k in august. Should be available for atleast 31k in sale now.

Guys who dont have sbi credit card and have jcb Platinum rupay debit card, you can get the same discount on it as amazon treats it as credit card. Have not ordered anything from it, but confirmed that all the offers are getting applied on it.

Ended up pulling the trigger on TCL C6K 139 cm (55 inch).

I really, really loved LG C2 OLED when I saw it in store but QLED is good enough(also I want to buy a few more things and limited moolah) and the TCL TV also looked great. bought it on Flipkart.

ended up paying ₹41,457 via atlas and went via grabdeals (dont know what % that gives back). On Amazon with SBI card, same TV is a little bit cheaper at 41200 with SBI DC, probably a little more cheaper with SBI CC but I dont have that. I think the miles on atlas are more valuable vs SBI points anyway.

Scamsung and LG were out of the race because they put ads on TV and since the OS is not google one its a little trickier to block those, and even though it will go through my pihole, dont want to give them money.

The other TV I considered was bravia 2M2, but TCL edges out over features and storage/RAM, so will be slightly better long term

Where do they show those ads, -- on the free channels they provide? Or on the various channel apps? Aren't the channels themselves responsible for those ads in either case?

In any case, how is this any worse than other cable channel providers, who, on top of those channel-specific ads, also charge a subscription fee?!

Samsung has embedded ads within their Tizen home screen UI and you can't opt out as well.
Moreover Tizen OS is just garbage. My 7 year old "Smart" TV now can hardly run any streaming app. Hotstar, Sony Liv, Zee5, JioCinema etc. do not even work.

My 2024 Samsung does not show any such ads.

Not a great fan of the Tizen OS myself either, and cannot comment on Sony Liv or Zee5, but I thought Hotstar and JioCinema are now defunct. The app to try now is JioHotstar which works on my TV.
