Best card for medicine purchases

cch

TF Select
Hi all, I have annual spends of roughly 1L(monthly 7-9k) on medicines and mostly buy those from 1mg. Are there any cards that have good offers/5-10x reward multipliers for one of medicine sites like 1mg, Apollo 247, netmeds, etc? I currently hold following cards:

Axis Magnus
HDFC regalia LTF
Axis Ace
Axis privilege
ICICI Amazon Pay
Slice

I was thinking of getting Amex MRCC card as I always split my medicine orders in 4 of roughly same amount to get max discount using their Care pass. Any other cards that offer better value than this?

My monthly medicine purchase ~ 8-10K. Axis Flipkart card gives 1.5% cashback on Flipkart Health+ (formerly known as SastaSundar, popular in WB, Odisha etc). Is there any other CC which gives better CB? What about SBI Cashback CC?
Ace gives me 2%. Not sure about SBI one, I think it’s 5% for all online spends

Netmeds & Apolllo don't allow gift cards payment on the discounted prices which is typically around 20% below MRP. Apollo offline is mostly MRP again.

Do share if someone has figured out a decent gift card payment setup for medicines. I am yet to find one & Have been using 1mg till now.

Since you have Magnus, would suggest to buy vouchers from Axis Gift Edge or Grab Deals for Accelerated Reward Points:

1/ Netmeds - Online - 10X + 2.5% Off on Gift Edge
2/ Apollo - Offline - 10X + 7.5% Off on Gift Edge
3/ 1MG - Online - Flat 17% Off + 5% 1mg cashback on prescription (Rx) medicines on Grab Deals
4/ Amazon Pay - 3x on Gift Edge and pay via Apay on Pharmeasy

Do try these before you make decision on paid MRCC.

Use
1) Axis Magnus and forget everything, unless u complete 1 lac spend milestone per month
2) Axis Ace
3) SBI CASHBACK card(take it now best flat 5%)

1MG care plan is useless, there are other coupon codes always which give more discount than care plan discount.

I have bought items from Apollo Half Price store using gift cards only

After all devaluations in 2023 ; Still any card still valuable for offline medicine purchases?

I have

Amex platinum travel
Tata neu infinity
Regalia
Magnus
Sbi Cashback

I assume the discount these online portals provide is on MRP.

My local medicine shop gives me 10% off on medicines and accepts my credit card.

So these is marginal difference if any in my case when using online medicine shops
But maximum medicine shop doesn't take credit card in tier2 or 3 cities

For online medicines from 1MG, Tata Neu Infinity from HDFC is the best option. Care plan plus Tata Neu plus Neu Infinity can give you double digit discount more often than not. Neu cards usually have the additional 5 percent on the regular 5 percent promo for at least 1 order per month. Certainly don't think of SBI Simply Click, SBI has really killed that card!
