  • HDFC : Milestone benefits only ✅
  • HSBC Cashback: 0% ✅
  • AMEX Gold Charge: 1 MR/50 + Milestone benefits ✅
  • AMEX SmartEarn/ MRCC: Milestone benefits only ✅
  • AU Zenith: Milestone benefits only ✅

Tip: IDFC, IndusInd, BOB provides better rewards using payzapp like prepaid card load (MCC: wallet) which you can use to pay NPS compared to direct payment where you'll get from 0.25% to 0.8% only on these cards.

For NPS payments MCC: 9399 (Govt. Services)

Do check both payment gateways Razorpay and Billdesk (above values are according to Billdesk gateway).

Also, do share missing cards rewards that you tried, will update accordingly.

PG Charges (with GST) on NPS website/app:
  • VISA, Mastercard & AMEX = 0.885% (0.75% + GST)
Note: Above are for TIER 1. TIER 2 disabled credit card payments (based on latest available options).

If in doubt, always try test transaction and confirm with support. Things may chage any time, proceed with caution.

  • Amex Gold Charge = 1RP per 50 + Milestone rewards (6x1000) ✅ (View attachment)
  • Bob Eterna = 0.375% ✅
  • Sbi Vistara Prime = 2 CV
  • Indusind Pinnacle/Legend = 0.7% ✅
  • Ace = 2%
  • AmazonPay = 1%
  • AU = 1.25% (+ milestone benefits 2L/Quarter) ✅

I thought Ace card stopped giving 2% cashback on nps payment. Also can someone confirm AmazonPay really gives 1% cashback for nps?
AmazonPay did not give me 1% cashback for Advance tax payment.

In August, when I asked for mcc of nps & advance tax transactions, axis had mentioned same mcc - 9399
9311 & 9399

Btw, same bank, same app/website gives different MCCs.

And, Axis is different, ICICI different, AMEX different, HDFC different.

One considered as 'Govt Spends', Other 'Utilities', Other 'NPS', Other 'Insurance' etc.

Do a test transaction, just incase for double check..

I have done 1000/- nps payment using billdesk gateway by Ace card now. Bill will be generated on 15th nov. Let's see if I get 2% cashback.

What about PTCC and IDFC cards?

Has anyone used Airtel Axis for eNPS? Did you receive 1% cashback?

I am planning to invest 50k using this if they give cashback, otherwise I’ll use AmazonPay ICICI. Want to use Airtel since it’ll count towards the annual spend waiver limit.

Axis revised their excluded MCCs list yesterday, govt transactions are barred from cashbacks from 10/12/2023.

has anyone tried using Sbi vistara prime? I am planning to use it for nps payment which will also help with 75k milestone of 3000 cv points. I am surprised that no one in this thread has tried this card even though the return is 2% in cv points even before considering milestones. Is there a catch?

I had the same thought.. however did the math and i decided to use IDFC wealth with 10x rewards.. additional used it also for Paytm wallet loads with fuel wallet cashback to negate the surcharge. This works out better than trying to avoid axis Airtel annual fee

How about buying Gyftr amazon vouchers for 5% RP using amazonpay ICICI CC worth 50,000, and use that to pay NPS and pay that bill using HDFC bill desk.. even if you have millenia, you will still get effective 3-3.5% as cash back... Please correct me if I'm wrong

I don't think we can pay NPS amount through Amazon pay wallet.
