Best cards for heavy international spends? (>25L)

You have to close existing cc and get another one upon fd. It will be 80% of fd amount, and will show up as secured card in CIBIL.

If RM/BM are helpful.
Axis will give you a secured credit card with limit upto 80% of the fixed deposit, but they will not give any good card or card of your choice
They will give only Neo and My zone or similar.
I don't think you can get the card of your choice.
If this was the case, then everyone would put large fixed deposits in HDFC bank and try to get Infinia with a high limit.

Also I think this applies for low income groups who don't have a CIBIL score and not to true Burgundy customers

Also first closing the fourth card and then applying for a new 4th card based on fixed deposit is risky, because they may not give a fourth card
Because officially only 3 cards are allowed

Yeah, these are general guidelines. That's why I mentioned RM/BM in last.

This is their quick reply--
"I would like to inform you that we don’t have the provision to mark lien on the fixed deposits to increase your credit limit for the aforesaid credit cards"

Infinia was issued on FDs till last yr. They recently stopped and make it only for NRIs

Anyone can take FD card, not necessarily low income or newbies.

Premium support told me that the limit for a secured credit card against fixed deposit is up to 80%, not exactly 80% of the fixed deposit.
So it could be just 5--6 lakhs also.

I don't think it is worth the trouble (and risk) of closing one of the 4 cards and then trying to get BOTH a card of my choice and a high limit

You can cannot lien for MB. I would suggest contacting RM, they could take approval from their side for higher limits
So far he has been very nice to me and not tried to worry me for marketing products like ULIPs.

If I worry him for something like this and give him extra work, he may try to extract his pound of flesh in return!

Just give him a good reason why you want extra limit. Also mention that you might move from Axis and close the account once FDs are matured, as current benefits are not worth while.

More than likely he would agree. I also hold MB, thats why I am saying.

About that, it's once in a while
My Burdungy RM doesn't push me to buy anything as I have made it clear not to buy anything at all but will listen to offers only. Sometimes he comes with good offers as well i.e 80% discount on the premium of your existing Vehicle Insurance.
I always push him to get things done for me.

Wo toh BM of a different branch, she asked me to shift my account to her branch but I didn't.
Attitude pasand ni aya ☠️

I can only push a male BM/RM and I can give strict instructions not to sale me anything.
But yaar how can I do these with a female BM/RM, if they try to sale anything kya pata mein khareed lun 🤣

I had a bad experience with one female RM before in Axis. No way I am repeating that. Gali dena difficult hota hai
