In the world of personal finance, many people are always looking for ways to manage their money better and get the most out of their spending. One popular strategy that's gaining traction is using debit cards to pay off credit card bills. This allows you to earn cashback on expenses that wouldn't normally earn rewards. In this article, we'll explore this concept and look at some of the best debit card options for paying off credit card bills.

Understanding the Strategy

Typically, credit card bills are paid using money from a bank account, either automatically or by manual transfer. While these payments don't usually earn rewards, some banks offer cashback incentives for using their debit cards to pay bills. By strategically using a debit card for credit card payments, you can earn cashback on expenses that wouldn't otherwise earn rewards.

Choosing the Right Debit Card

When choosing a debit card for paying credit card bills, there are a few things to consider:
  1. Cashback Percentage: Look for a debit card that offers a good cashback percentage on bill payments.
  2. Debit Card Fees: Consider any fees associated with the debit card, such as monthly fees or transaction fees.
  3. Account Requirements: Make sure you meet any requirements to qualify for the debit card you're interested in.

Dispute the transaction with bank. Usually it is reversed in 5-7 working days as per my experience.

In SBI unipay, the transaction details and id shows before you click on submit for payment. I have started taking a screenshot of that page before processing incase there is a failure. Also if you have logged in sbiunipay portal to make the payment, it may show in history. You could check there for the ID

Hey guys,

I have to pay my hdfc tata neu bill of 45k today. I have indus visa select mc and visa signature debit cards with me.

Which app + debit card should I use for the payment to get max rewards? ( Anything other than sbi unipay, as I don't want it to get stuck)

I'll also have to pay 35k+ by the end of this month

Paytm karo .

Can someone please tell me the list of platforms which are currently accepting Credit Card bill payments using Debit Card without any transaction charges? Such a list would be massively helpful!

How long does SBI unipay take to credit the amount to the card?
I did a payment of INR 1000 to my HDFC cc using hdfc ESP debit card on the web interface of SBI unipay yesterday. By yesterday evening I got a confirmation sms saying that it's successful but till now the amount is not reflecting on the card. 1% cashback also does not show as yet.
Did it get credited? If yes, when?
