In the world of personal finance, many people are always looking for ways to manage their money better and get the most out of their spending. One popular strategy that's gaining traction is using debit cards to pay off credit card bills. This allows you to earn cashback on expenses that wouldn't normally earn rewards. In this article, we'll explore this concept and look at some of the best debit card options for paying off credit card bills.

Understanding the Strategy

Typically, credit card bills are paid using money from a bank account, either automatically or by manual transfer. While these payments don't usually earn rewards, some banks offer cashback incentives for using their debit cards to pay bills. By strategically using a debit card for credit card payments, you can earn cashback on expenses that wouldn't otherwise earn rewards.

Choosing the Right Debit Card

When choosing a debit card for paying credit card bills, there are a few things to consider:
  1. Cashback Percentage: Look for a debit card that offers a good cashback percentage on bill payments.
  2. Debit Card Fees: Consider any fees associated with the debit card, such as monthly fees or transaction fees.
  3. Account Requirements: Make sure you meet any requirements to qualify for the debit card you're interested in.

Oh bhai, time diya gaya hai recepient ko ki receipt laa. Yeh jo hold pe hai fir se debit karke de denge unko. Agar yeh tera paisa hold se hat gaya aur account mein release ho gaya toh recovery tere CC ko charge karke karega. Usme debit entry create ho jayegi. At end of day you can relax as you won't get anything in that. If you use this amount be ready to pay in fuure when your CC creates a debit entry for same amount. Abhi ladayi HDFC aur Unipay ki hai. Chalney de. Dono jab settle kar lemge aapas mein tujhe koot denge.
I too in same boat ! They have released the hold amount to account and the payment is still reflecting in cc. Let’s see when will it be settled! Anyone else have faced in the past ?

You meant to say the CC limit has increased? Don't worry it will reduce or a new debit entry will be created in future to ask for this payment.

The amount used to pay bill by DC to CC has come back to my saving account. And they have not created any debit entry in my CC as well . The transaction was successful on Unipay . What wrong with BBPS ?

Worry not bro. They will settle accounts. I had CC successful txn for which refund was also made by mistake from merchant and it auto-settled after 2 months by creating a new debit entry in my CC which later deducted on auto-pay from my account. But as I check my CC txns regularly I didn't noticed anything unusual and let them take back what was their's. Problem is not with BBPS. Things work with a protocol and many a times, everything is fine but where txns are settled and reversed get some hiccups. Later when banks check in month end or next month end, they ask for money again when their own corpus is less. Banks have their own way of settlement. They don't settle on daily basis with merchants. These are just enteries which are reconciled at month end or twice a month.
