Now that paytm fastag is shutdown, what are good choices for fastag?

The wallet + fastag combined offering from paytm was really good. Is there any other option like that?

Just bcoz the paytm fastag issue and the news came up for qr code thing so everyone wants the QR code on their new fastag 😂😂

This UPI thing is fine and most convenient...

You can place the fastag closure request first and can order instantly. The Paytm fastag will close in 5-7 working days and later on you can activate the second fastag which will be delivered in the same time 5-6 days.

But both the tags will be shown as Active on the Fastag portal. If you travel in this time period you'll have to pay in cash or by using the second fastag which is linked to your vehicle number because the Paytm Fastag will not work once you place the closure request.

If you recharge directly on fastag UPI the amount will go to fastag balance.

When you buy the tag some amount is already there in the tag wallet. The toll deductions happening from Apay wallet or not will be confirmed by the users here when they use all the tag balance and then they'll add the money in their Apay wallet.

I guess the Apay wallet is different and the gift balance is difference as the wallet balance has a UPI ID assigned to it whereas the gift cards balances are shown differently. The gift card balance won't be used in this case I believe.

Petrol/Colin + Rub using cloth or a small blade to loose the sides of the tag.

I brought fastag via Amazon but the deduction is not happening from apay wallet. After crossing 2 toll, initial 200 rs balance was almost used, but wallet balance remains as it is.

I have to recharge fastag directly for further toll deduction

Well my friends have purchased recently by looking at these FAQs. I'll update once they use it using their apay wallet if the money deducts from wallet or not.

This is no longer applicable, they have removed the apay wallet option

Path on Amazon: Open Amazon App -> Tap on 'Amazon Pay' icon -> Tap on 'Amazon Pay ICICI BANK FASTag' icon -> Click on 'Select Fastag issuing bank' -> Choose 'ICICI Bank' -> Enter VRN number and amount and complete recharge.
