If you have HDFC Platinum Debit card then use HDFC bill pay and pay your credit card bill using debit card. It will give you 1% cashback.

Both are fine. Just make sure you are choosing DC from dropdown and not saving account while paying.

Yup. You can't pay HDFC credit card bill. Listed credit cards from other banks are only eligible.

you will get reward points. which can be easily converted to rupees on 1:1 via netbanking.

Cashback points will show in 2 days; rarely more (sometimes even 5 day). Once you get 250 cashback points create a request in Netbanking to convert to cash. That takes another 2 days

Even if status is pending, try paying the bill. If transaction gets cancelled, wait for 1-2 days and then repeat. Should be successful.

Don't forget to set the debit card spend limit, before proceeding.
