Hi TFians,

In your experience, which PSU bank has a quick, hassle free and smooth savings account opening process? I am from a metro city and I already hold ICICI, HDFC, Indie, Indian Bank and CUB accounts.

BTW BoB RuPay Select comes with all wellness benefits and is NCMC complaint. Comes handy on occasional metro rides.

If you don't t mind, can you please list down all different BOB SB accounts in the order of basic to premium along with MAB..

For sure with Professional and Platinum accounts in good standing. Not so sure about Super Saver account.

For 2k MAB account, is there an option to apply paid select card? I am not able to find the right info on this.. could you please confirm? Also, I already hold BOB CC. Will it anyhow make the BoB SA opening process simpler?

You can visit your branch and apply offline. Fill the form and ask the person specifically for RuPay Select.

Nope. The process is as simple as with any other bank, private or PSU. Just keep PAN, Aadhaar, Aadhaar registered number, White paper and pen ready while applying.

I opened platinum account with a 30L IP cheque. Account was opened through their tab. There was no option to select Rupay select DC while applying. Visa platinum, Rupay platinum were the options.
BM told me that the account will auto kick Radiance upgrade as soon as it's opened. Right now. I am waiting for the welcome kit.

Open account on 1st July (as they check aqb in last week of every March, June, September and December)

**While opening account it will take aadhar registered address as permanent + communication and will show you nearby branches accordingly. If your current address and aadhar registered address is different, change communication Address and select nearby branches.

After opening, u will get INB user id and password in approx 3-4 hrs. Generate OTP for Bob World app and log in. You will see Virtual Rupay Platinum DC (LTF) there. Use that to set up UPI PIN and voila 😎

Now coming to main point 👉🏻

Any debit cards issued under this account is FYF. So either apply Rupay Select or Sapphire or extra BPCL Rupay Platinum if needed.

If you have tick debit card option while opening account, a physical rupay platinum DC will also get issued automatically.

Main course - Since u wanted a Low AMB account, visit branch with Passbook and Cheque you have received in Welcome Kit via India Post along with 2 copies of Pan+Aadhar and passport size photos. Give request for scheme code change to SB101 (Bob advantage savings account - 2k amb for metro branches)

Done. You gets FYF rupay select and visa Sapphire DC without branch visit and post that a low amb account.
