Thanks for your insights and my bad to mention that i am holding MRCC as LTF.Please deduct the Amex MRCC annual fees of 885 (50% discount) on a pro rata basis for 7.5 months out of 12 months.
Also let's assume for the sake of simplicity, that Amazon pay vouchers are worth 100% cash, because they are quasi cash.
7000-553/150000 works out to 4.30% return
But remember that Amazon pay vouchers can be bought at a discount of 5% or more
Dang! So better to get 5% CB via SBI CB?Please deduct the Amex MRCC annual fees of 885 (50% discount) on a pro rata basis for 7.5 months out of 12 months.

1% Lost over that time.Using the same logic and calculations, Amex MRCC 1500 x 4 gives you a higher return, after deducting 885 annual fees on a pro rata basis for 16 months and spending 96000 in 16 months
Approx 6.06% return ( assuming Amazon pay is worth 100% cash).
But there is a much longer waiting period of 16 months.
Doesn't Amex Plat Travel give 3x rewards in Reward Multiplier? While Amex Gold looks high, lack of fee waiver, assuming annual fees are charged, makes it very less compared to % quoted here.Let me be the kind member... 🙂
These are not all cards just the top cards as per me.
Magnus assumes 4:5 conversion with Burgundy account.
Vouchers bought through the respective reward multiplier portals.
Point value is taken which can bit conservative.
Though its pretty self explanatory but happy to answer in case of any doubt.

Right. So total points would be 40000 (Bonus)+ 24000 (3X Reward Multiplier) = 64000.Doesn't Amex Plat Travel give 3x rewards in Reward Multiplier?

Inifinia close second and this seems good validation for me 🙂 Buy some of this amount as Amazon shopping voucher ( no extra charge on that over as compared to Amazon pay voucher) and the return % may get equal or better than Amex Gold I suppose.this is a very helpful post! thank you so much
Infinia is the #1, as the processing fees have come down, now it is 590Rs instead of Rs 767 quoted in the post, making it 13.675%.Inifinia close second and this seems good validation for me 🙂 Buy some of this amount as Amazon shopping voucher ( no extra charge on that over as compared to Amazon pay voucher) and the return % may get equal or better than Amex Gold I suppose.

and LTF infinia would be another good point to take it further aheadInfinia is the #1, as the processing fees have come down, now it is 590Rs instead of Rs 767 quoted in the post, making it 13.675%.
Also Amex Gold, has a high renewal fee which will not be reversed or waived off for 72K annual spends, and the rewards fall of steeply post 72K.
@drsel - This was the sheet I was trying to recall as compared to the math you had shared.Let me be the kind member... 🙂

Really like this idea. Moreover I want to know same thing for Regalia. As Regalia is more common than Infinia. So is it even worth using it this way@drsel - This was the sheet I was trying to recall as compared to the math you had shared.
Why cant we have some SHARED community sheets with variables and rectifications so that we are aware of how this data plays.
I am sure we can just keep adding and improving for most cards in community shared sheet.Really like this idea. Moreover I want to know same thing for Regalia. As Regalia is more common than Infinia. So is it even worth using it this way
This calculation assumes full 400000 spend on the rewards multiplier portal to get 3X points. May not be very practical for many. I think 10000 spend on AGC per month and other spends to achieve milestone maybe more accurate.Right. So total points would be 40000 (Bonus)+ 24000 (3X Reward Multiplier) = 64000.
Value assuming 0.5 conversion will be Rs 32000 Plus Rs 10000 Taj voucher = Rs 42000 (10.5%). This is assuming your renewal charges are waived.
Earlier monthly limit to buy AGC was 20k a month which is now 10k.This calculation assumes full 400000 spend on the rewards multiplier portal to get 3X points. May not be very practical for many. I think 10000 spend on AGC per month and other spends to achieve milestone maybe more accurate.
Even if you value the point at 35 paisa and the Taj 10000 at 6000, return is only 6%Earlier monthly limit to buy AGC was 20k a month which is now 10k.
With 10k a month (more practical) you still get 52800 points a year plus 10k Taj voucher. This card is only for those who can spend 4L in a year otherwise MRCC is better.
If you’re using points for something that values 35 paisa then you’re not utilising the card to it’s fullest. This card is for travellers as the name says and gives much better value if you use for Hotels like Marriott or Taj. I use for Marriott and easily get value more way than 1Re. I only redeem when Marriott runs 30% bonus points offer so that brings value to even more. Also, when booking through points, Marriott almost always upgrades your room.Even if you value the point at 35 paisa and the Taj 10000 at 6000, return is only 6%
