Devaluation BOB Card Introduces Spend Requirement for Free Domestic Airport Lounge Access

It’s BOB Card’s time now!
Effective from January 1, 2025, you’ll need to spend a specific amount using your BOB card to qualify for free lounge access at domestic airports in India.



I’d say BOB has kept the spending requirement very reasonable. Unlike other card issuers, like ICICI Bank, which require you to spend 1 lakh to get free lounge access, BOB’s requirement is well within reach.

BOB cards didn't have any spend criteria for lounge access up until now. However, from 1 Jan 2025, that'll be no longer the case.

For example, Eterna will require 40000 spends in previous quarter for unlimited lounge access and Premier will require 20000 for 1 lounge access.

The end is near. Now Among all cards I have, only federal Celesta and indusind tiger are the cards left with no spend criteria. After this, no lounges for me.

I am so happy that I got Diners black metal couple of months back, I don't have to scrape or plan my spending in any of my cards for lounge access 😛

Despite being a basic level card , bob premier, it has a wide range of lounge list ,

I live near Siliguri , WB. I have not found any card which allows Siliguri's airport except Bob premier.

Yes the devaluation link also has eligible airports list, glad that you have found a card that works at the airport you wanted.
For me I have to spend 1.2 lakhs a year on my Eterna to get unlimited lounge access , so no big deal either

I was heavily thinking about taking a BOB card yesterday. searched a lot about Premier v/s Eterna.
While going through bank website, I saw this spend criteria banner flashing.
Still thinking whether to take an LTF BOB card for instant discounts.
Many sites/apps give better discounts on BOB cards. @Yugi

Yes offers wise, I see more on BOB, Federal when compared to IDFC, IndusInd, RBL. (on known e-commerce and travel)
