For visa it's less and for rupay it's high
(Personally tried with cards from different network from BoB)

on wallet loads Paytm charge 3.35% on my account and on my mother's account they charge 2.25%.

Even if that's the case, we have a total loss of ₹112(discount: ₹300, service charge: ₹412). Am I missing something here?

Paytm acc specific charges. Al visa/master/RuPay charges Rs550 in my one paytm account.
Another Paytm account Rs900+ something charges.
