Actually I forgot to mention that the old account was opened under pmjdy scheme. Can my mother open another account because customer care says yes? But I am still sceptical about going to the rural branch and returning empty handed if they deny.
Yes, you can open another account. I suggest opening a fresh account in the rural branch and close the PMJDY after opening the new account.
If you close before opening the new account, then the system will throw an error and you have to open via physical form.
No one will deny, just don't mention that she already has an account in the other branch.

I have two queries for BOB EMT Debit Card
1. Is the spend based criteria to redeem free airport lounge access removed again? I am getting no info about it on BoB website anymore.
2. Also, if spend based criteria still applies, does it apply to international lounges as well?

No matter you checked the DC box or not they will issue and debit card in branch and yes you'll be charged
Depends on the account variant if your account variant has FYF DC then you will not be charged.
For example, BOB Super Savings account DC will be FYF.

True but in advantage account he will be charged anyways. BTW BOB systems do not allow multiple account if one already has BSBD account. Account got closed but customer ID was supended so it will take arount 2-3 days or even a week for it get unsuspended. From my recent discovery

The variant is advantage account I opened it online today via vkyc already logged into mobile and internet banking. Never expected this fast service from BOB to be honest.

If the application is online then yes you won't get debit card if you don't check the box, but If you selected the option you will be charged and will recieve a platinum or a basic debit card, I was talking about offline appliation form before.

Yes, for Advantage, it’s chargeable. Not just BOB, but other banks also don’t allow opening another account as the primary holder if you have a BSBD account.

BTW we can see the physical cards cvv only after it is delivered right ? Is there any other way ? If possible will use it on last amazon Friday .
