BOB Lite Current Account via Offline mode/through branch

Finally I opened BOB LITE CURRENT account through my home branch which is far from my actual residential address. Earlier, I enquired at my local BOB Branch but they denied me & tried to open other variant but my home branch was helpful thankfully, I contacted them & they opened this account on an Individual basis without providing any other business details.

One lesson, BOB Branch can help you if they want. This case, my base branch is good enough. If your branch is not a good one, you will suffer. Try to open it through any prominent metro branch
Today i apply BOB lite current account (proprietor) through my branch but they take initial deposit 5000rs, how many days it's taken to open and full optional?

For my case I opened (Individual) through branch, they asked me the initial deposit of 25K & request me to keep it for 24hrs but my account opened instantly via tab banking & it was fully operational via BOB World/NetBanking/UPI Apps. You may need to wait another 10-15days for receiving welcome kit. I didn't apply Physical Debit Card but I applied VDC through BOB WORLD. Initially, it was throwing some error but later I applied successfully. Also, I unsubscribed myself for SMS Alerts for skipping unnecessary charges on the same day.

Please let us know your experience with BOB LITE Current Account, specially folio charges & other charges related to transactions.

you don't need to unsubscribed SMS Alerts, It's free
 
oo sorry my bad Rs.25+GST on Quarterly basis
BOB does have some lucrative products than other PSBs & the BOB World application interface & features are better than other PSBs. Else, one of the worst & thuggery PSB ever. I only like BOB for their regular banking products only with good digital backbone except 12am outages every night. 🤣

i opened through branch on 04/09/2025
today 10/09/2025 it's start showing on BOB WORLD APP

i also have bob lite saving account, when i login on BOB WORLD APP it's showing both account BOB Lite Saving Account and also BOB Lite Current Account but when i login through (Net Banking) Current Account are not showing, i also notice both account have different Customer ID.

So do i need to register again with new Current Account Customer ID?

No, it's a serious mistake by your branch. You can raise a grievance against it & they will club both cust ids into one. You can see the account after that

i really don't understand
there is any disadvantages?


EDIT: My Both Account registered with same mobile number, maybe that's why they do that, because BOB WORLD APP need mobile number to login, there is no option to login with Customer ID

Most of the cases such duplicate cust id may block during bank's audit trail. You may have to visit branch multiple times to unfreeze your during that period, secondly if you are planning to opt any other product from the bank, it will create unnecessary confusion & delay. Better to club these two cust ids. Just raise one grievance, sit back & relax. Bank's team will club these two into one internally
