I sent in a request for a meet and greet for one pax (myself) in BOM.

First, their buggy site refused to accept a pdf of my air ticket (why do they need this - are people willing to lie about their travel to misuse this so-called service, which from all I've heard is basically a porter?). I needed to send in a jpg. They promptly replied and asked for a pdf. Which I then sent them on email.

Since then, every four days or so, they email me saying they're "working on" my request. No confirmation so far, 15 days later.

Wonder what it is in my itinerary that has broken their systems.

I hope it gets processed before your travel date!

You will get the confirmation 24 hours before the flight time. They will keep saying "In progress" if you call before.

I took the end to end concierge service at IGI Terminal 3 few months back. They called about an hour before the booking time. And helped me with my check in baggage, security (in business class line). After the check, they asked me if we wanted to explore the airport or just go to our boarding gate. We decided to just wait at the gate and they had a golf cart ready to drop us there.

As there are so many questions, here's my experience:
  • You request for the service through their website extraordinary weekends. You need to provide details of your travel and include a copy of the ticket
  • You will get a confirmation message typically 24 hours before the travel. You can try calling them before that but they will always respond with "In progress". This is what happened with me
  • 8-9 hours before your departure time, someone from the Meet n Greet service provider will call you and introduce himself. He will ask about your time of arrival at the airport. Even though, the confirmation email will mention a reporting time but I feel there is some flexibility to deviate from it
  • Once are you are about to reach the airport, you can call the person and inform him about the arrival. He will inform you about the reporting place
  • Once you meet the assigned person, he will carry your luggage and help you with the check-in, immigration and security
  • Based on experiences I have read from different people, the rest of the service may be dependent on the airport or the service provider. At some places, you may get fast tracked during security, immigration and even get buggy drop till the gate.

Ah, okay. Not too fussed either way. I won’t have more than one piece of hand luggage. The only thing I’m looking for is a buggy from the plane. But I believe it’s hit or miss whether you get that.

So they finally emailed me about 30 minutes before the start of my trip (which involved two international flights over 16-odd hours, terminating in Mumbai).

Thankfully, I do not think there were any attempts to call and convey information, which would be better conveyed on email/text anyway.

Their (Pranaam handles this in BOM) representative met me as I made my way into the terminal, off the jet bridge. He held up a card with my name on it and was easy to find. There was a buggy, which was the only real perk of the experience, but still a significant walk of about 400 metres between the point where you get off the buggy and the immigration processing area. I did not need to share the buggy with other pax, which was nice.

After I got through immigration, the rep caught up with me again on the other side and we went off to the baggage belt. From there, he handled my suitcase and we walked out through customs. I ordered an Uber meanwhile and we made our way to the pick-up area (which had changed from the last time I was in BOM and seemed more organised and less chaotic, though it involved a longer walk than before) where he put the case in the car and asked me to sign a piece of paper.

As I said, the buggy ride, which can often cover a distance of well over a kilometre in BOM, was the bit I appreciated most. The rest of it is nice, especially if you have a significant amount of hand- or checked-in luggage. In my case I had one item each, so it was no big deal either way. I do not think Pranaam can get you priority access to immigration. (I had a business class ticket, so it didn't make a difference, but if you don't and you land at 2am in BOM, it's usually a mob of people at immigration and you're looking at an approx 45-minute wait at least, at times.)

Thanks for sharing your experience 🙂
This is helpful

Some of family members are travelling international and I was thinking if I could book the meet and get service for them. Is it necessary for primary card holder to travel to get meet and great service?‬
