The trick is, as discussed in the forum, you 1st turn off the online transaction from SBI card app & proceed to pay from the desired website. The txn. will obviously fail. But you can call the customer care & ask about the MCC of this failed txn. & whether it is eligible for 5% cashback or not !!

Except fuel & excluded MCCs.

I was already thinking to shift all my offline spends from Axis Ace to SBI CB card (only 0.5% difference). This way 2L spends may be reachable for me with SBI CB, if not I can pay annual fees for one card instead of paying for both cards 🧐

SBI Card app itself has option to scan Bharat QR (only found in POS machine & it's different from UPI QR).
