Calling all Atlas card holders (BIN Issue)

Axis Atlas cards have a well-documented problem that they are not being accepted for chip insert payments on PineLabs POS.

They are now not being accepted on Axis Gyftr (Gift Edge) and Axis Woohoo (Grab Deals Insta Vouchers) as well. The problem here is likely that the BIN (first six digits of the card) assigned by VISA for Atlas that is 410038 was also assigned to First Gulf Bank (UAE) previously. So many payment processors probably identify the card as a foreign card and refuse payment.

Does anyone have an Atlas card that has a different BIN other than 410038? If there is, do you face any issues with the card on Pinelabs POS or on Gift Edge?

As usual since the idiots at Axis don't do their jobs properly it is up to us to sort their **** out.

On Giftedge and Grabdeals you should not use Atlas card, because they are not eligible for bonus points.
Only cards which give edge points are eligible for the bonus 2x, 3x and 5x points

Atlas has different reward platform and axis is responsible for such blockage it's issue with axis where they are intentionally blocked in such area, woho is blocked due to much benfits, giftyr same multiplication not allowed if used there they will be forced to give points. And finally pine labs reason being offers are being used on that terminal what other cards has hence it's blocked. Its not the problem of other agency it's solely responsible of axis for intentionally block.

This bin etc are not considered here. All misguided information.

Reason of blockage is of reward ratio and discount and getting benfits more than claim.

To get more understanding samsung infinite cards also blocked in gyftar portals etc where vouchers are given with discount. The voucher can be bought if amount is equal and no multiplication or discount exist.

Was not aware about this issue until you pointed it out. Always thought I got my chip scratched somewhere. Have not used grabdeals and giftedge yet, so can't comment there. But Axis really needs to sort up their mess.

Apply for any other Axis card giving edge points and use it
No thanks, all Axis cards even the most so-called Premium ones have become useless with all their huge list of exclusions in addition to all the other Axis problems. Pay 26K annual fees only to have transportation and utilities excluded?

Pinelabs POS asks to pay in AED (UAE currency) while swiped. This wouldn't happen if it isn't a BIN issue.

Also, everyone understands that you won't get bonus points when you use Atlas on Gyftr. What's the logic on blocking the entire card for that? They can still allow the card to be used normally to purchase vouchers. Also why is it blocked on Grab Deals too?

Which card is 26000?
And there are 8 excluded categories, not only transport and utility

Olympus. 23600 sorry. In my opinion it is ridiculous to have exclusions for super-premium cards after charging so much. It makes more sense to have reasonable cappings (like Infinia and EPM) on categories rather than outright exclusions. Some categories like Rent and Wallet are understandable but transport and utilities are not.

I was seriously considering Atlas as backup to DCB because of decent returns and being a VISA card. But how can it be a backup card when it is not accepted at Pinelabs? I am slowly drifting away from Atlas, but the problem is there is no other card which offers such good reward rate on travel (not eligible for Marquee). Does the problem persist or has it been resolved @drsel ? And if not, do you recommend any other card for travel other than Amex (its acceptability is low as well and my pin is not serviceable)?

Planning for getting Atlas credit card, Any of existing users can you please clarify below query's

1) are spends towards education counted in milestone benefits?

2) are spends towards Medical/Automobile Insurance counted in milestone benefits?

3) Expiry of Edge miles is 1 year or 3 years?

Thanks in advance

It's not that big of a deal, if you really care about that sweet 4% return. All pinelabs pos are tap n pay enabled. Also, its not like that ALL chip swipes fail at pinelabs pos, some do, some doesn't. But to be safe, you can tap and pay as ALL tap n pay payments will work.
