Is anyone here who is a foreign national? I'm a foreign national, holding an OCI card, a resident in India. IDFC First has a check on their application page whether you are an Indian citizen or not. Wonder if other cards also have similar restrictions?

Yes, as long as you have a PAN Card, a valid address proof in India (Stuff like Rent agreement + Utility Bill), ID Proof, (of course passport) banks will give you Credit Cards. My last company's manager is a Foreign National. He had Credit Cards of major Indian Banks, so I know that they do.

I have a friend who's a foreign national. He was telling me he tried to get a credit card here but no bank was willing to give him a card. He is a resident in India and is also working in India.
Easiest way is to simply state that you are an Indian citizen. Sometimes it asks for 'resident Indian' which is correct if you are living in India.
That would be false information. Also how will you prove you are an Indian without an Indian passport?

Do you know which banks give cards to foreign nationals?
