Can I close the SBI Elite card after getting the SimplySave Rupay card?

Just downgrade your Elite CC to a lower variant. That way you get to retain the the same CC limit. And no effect on your credit report.

From the screenshot attached, I infer that you've asked them to change the network to Rupay.

As stated above, request them to downgrade your card to SimplySAVE. Don't mention anything about Rupay 😀

I swapped my SBI elite CC to BPCL octane over call. Took me 5 minutes and my request was raised successfully.

You can ask for their Rupay card if issued Visa Card then.

They mostly rejected because Elite is only available on Visa, MC, Amex as per their website.

So just get whatever card variant they issue for now and wait for a while and ask them to convert it to Rupay later?
