It can happen. I guess the policies have been relaxed now.
I have Infinia and Tata neu infinity. Nowadays I am getting offers on email for additional HDFC card. I think Tata Neu is not considered as second being a cobranded card.
So if there is an offer for you...go for it. Or check if it is there for you on website.
Since i am getting this offer anyway, I have asked my RM for DCB... 😀
If you have 1 core card like Infinia - it does not make sense to go for another top tier card for the same bank. Rather go for a Neu Infinity, if you get a chance. Did the same, getting benefits from both.

Yes buddy... it's difficult and hence the greater satisfaction if done. I am already pre approved for second core hdfc card and getting 1500 amazon vocuher on top of it . 😀
Well can't disagree with you...and sometimes I think why to have multiple cards across banks ...may be 3 or max 4 will solve everything.
But again... there are different motives and purpose of getting multiple cards.
Getting a DCB...that too LTF..won't hurt 😛
You may be aware that HDFC has occasionally rejected pre-approved offers in the past. 😂 Consider yourself fortunate since it can be difficult for many people to even secure one card from them, and here you are with a second pre-approved card. If you do manage to obtain the second core card from HDFC, please do share the update with us.

The application is in progress..and because of this only I have applied offline through RM. I can see a credit enquiry by hdfc in June...will update soon 🙂

Why would you want Regalia though? It's utterly useless, especially when you have DCB. Millenia is a better option.
For which card did you apply as your 2nd card ?
No ,you cant apply for regalia gold but again with HDFC exception is always there.( 2 core cards bit difficult to get but if offered as preapproved then you will get)
but you can apply for any co branded card of HDFC as your second card.

But hdfc don't issue 2 super premium cards, right ?
It's rare... and since I am already pre approved for some other cards, I have requested my RM to push for DCB.. let's see what happens..fingers crossed 🙂
Interesting. I also hold a ltf DCB. Before opting for DCB I also had both DCB & Infinia as pre-approved.
I want to get a Infinia now (even paid is fine) but without losing my ltf DCB as it also has my college name on it 🙂
