Can I use Axis Easy Access Savings Account without Physical DC only with Virtual DC ?

I have opened an Axis Easy Access Savings Account. For the 1st year Axis will give 500 voucher . But after that the Physics Debit Card is useless for the charges of 500 + GST. So I want to know from anyone having Axis SA that Can I use only Virtual Card and block the Physics DC permanently ? From a previous thread someone is saying that You can only block and replace . Not only block . Anyone have any insight on this matter ?

Block and request ATM only Card/ATM Chip Card, which is LTF.

You will be only able to withdraw cash from the ATM upto 75k/day.

I have to request through branch or customer care . Right ?
Because Axis will never give you the option to choose LTF ATM Card instead of a 590 fees DC which only gives 1% Cashback .

I think you have to go branch for request ATM card LTF. Because I am trying to get it online from 8 month but never got an option.

Anything changed since then?
Dont want to risk myself as my card has just renewed last month

The debit card (virtual / physical) is needed only to (re)set the UPI password (currently Aadhaar based reset is unavailable). You can do everything without a debit card.

I blocked my debit card a year ago and then ATM card showed up after about a week of blocking. Went with it immediately. Unsure about the current scenario.

Dont want to risk myself as my card has just renewed last month

I think if MB & IB is not showing option to block maybe you can try IVR or Chat Bot .

Yes . ICICI is the only bank where DC is a must have. And Axis is giving virtual DC so online transaction and UPI pin reset is resolved . For ATM purpose I have other bank cards .

So you blocked edebit card too? or just after blocking physical card that option came?

Just simply block. You can get option to block physical debit card in both. Virtual debit card is free in axis.

I think @Beyond is saying that in his MB & IB there is no option to block . It is showing block & replace . That means if you need to block the card you have to order another one with paying replacement charges . Without replacing you can't proceed to block .

1. Block and replace
2. Block

I never had e-debit card. Opened the account offline, 15+ years ago. Just blocked the physical card. It took about a week to process. Then I was checking later if it was really blocked in netbanking where I saw the ATM card option that wasn't visible / available before blocking.
