Can I use Axis Easy Access Savings Account without Physical DC only with Virtual DC ?

Yes . As I have opened the account on 13th , the debit cards are not yet updated in my MB & IB . Otherwise I will try to find the option.
Btw , how many days does axis take to issue physics DC 🙂 ?
I have opened account on 11 th . Activated on 13th . Still I can't see the account on MB but in IB it is showing . I am using UPI by setting the UPI PIN using Virtual DC .
But I can't see my Virtual DC in my IB .
( Set DC PIN during account opening and got the details from welcome mail )
And Physical one is not issued yet.

Since the cost of yearly fee keeps rising, I want to get rid of debit card.

Just now, I received a Visa debit card that costs Rs.300 + GST, as a replacement for the existing RuPay card that is less costlier in general. I am yet to activate the new card.

I don’t really need a debit card. I hardly use / withdraw cash. I am fine with internet banking. I don’t need UPI (from Axis). Is it possible to use Axis bank savings account without the (physical or virtual) debit card?

I blocked the debit card and got the ATM card in April 2024.

That's sad to know. I was in a similar position a few months ago, then only last week I blocked the old debit card and after a days applied for the ATM card. It's on the way.



Try contacting the customer care, RM or wait for a few months. Axis is weird as usual.

Edit: In net banking, click cards tab on the left hand side menu, under debit cards (credit cards, forex cards), you might see a link titled "apply now".

Maine 2022 account open kiya tha ...tab axis ka branch manager ne bola agar maine unka physical debit rakha yea nahi rakha (virtual e debit hai) to bhi mujhe 590 charge de na parega after 1 year... Tho maine rak liya....
Now - i habe Axis online reward visa card and E-debit card(BookMyShow buy1Get1 offer)

Ye wala doubt bhi tha . Kyuki Axis hai to Mumkin hai . T&C ke piche inhone alag universe basa rakha hai .

Yeah , I read your thread. But Axis have an urge to change T&C's every 6 months . So some changes could have happened.

Btw have you tried to get a virtual DC ?
Because SBEZY comes with Virtual DC now . Or is it ASAP only ? Because last year when I spoke with branch they didn't mention Virtual DC . They told I will get DC with 590 charges . Which is Secure + , worse than Online rewards.

Kindly activate physical debit card after getting it. Because they will charge 590 which cannot be skip able. Do any one transaction within 30 days of getting the card. Wait for 500 Rs voucher get it. Redeem it and then block the card.

If you are in doubt, write an email via https://application.axisbank.co.in/webforms/axis-support/index.aspx and they are bound to provide you the current info in writing.

I am not aware of it. However, scheme code of digital savings account is DBEZY.

Yeah , absolutely.
When I got Airtel Axis Card they charged me even before I got the card in hand .
So , in case of DC they will charge as soon as it is issued .
And if they are not giving that 500 voucher I will have never opened the account .

You can block virtual or physical. But you will get charged for one 500+GST. I was using my axis account with both cards blocked for almost a year now. Recently i applied for debit card since i need one right now.

Means I if I use the Virtual DC only I will still be charged with annual charges .
 
I have just opened axis easy access digital savings account on 14th January.agent came to my house and opened my axis savings account in their Tab with initial funding 3000( they provide instant kit debit and cheque book). Today on 16th January my account has been activated . 3000 has been also reflected in my account.

Now tell what's the benefits of keeping this debit card( as agent told me that 354 ammount will be debited for issuance of this debit card , although as today no ammount has been deducted for ATM)
Benefits of this debit card? Can i get return in the name lf cashback for this card spending?

What I meant was - When last time I tried to block my debit card both 'block' and 'replace and block' option were redirecting me to same page of ordering new debit card to replace with! I even asked axis CS, they said it's mandatory to have a debit card for authetication purpose also denied rupay varient, only reward cards were eligible for this account type.

But seems like axis is now allowing to block w/o replacing.

What will you do for verification purposes like forget NetBanking password, upi pin forget..of somehow this type of scenario generate,what will you do? What will you do if somehow you de-link axis savings account from gpay Phone pe,and for relink account you need debit card
