Canara Bank: Master World Debit Card With Loungekey Access. (Review after usage at Intl lounge)

I got this Canara Master World seeing your post and successfully used it in Muscat and Abu Dhabi.

As expected, they refunded the amount in 9 calendar days.

It's a superb, underexplored card.

Remember, only two Self are allowed per year and you may have exhausted it now. But still a good card as it allows 2 guests also for free.

Now if you haven't used guest part on it, next time you will be charged for your self visit but guests won't. So out of USD 105, 70 will be refunded. You can't have guest entry without having self entry first.

@bran_the_shipwright Most of operators know it looking at card itself. But some don't and it is only for your safety that you tell beforehand. Just tell them you are a longekey member and they will swipe at its terminal only.

Yes you can. My brother also have normal RuPay classic which was chosen at opening account. Later applied for this. You can't get Master world while opening acc. as it is missing in list. Choose RuPay Classic and then apply for this one.

Both will remain active. Close the other one permanently before one year. But they will charge you Rs.150+GST for closing. Card closing/hotlisting charges are a negative with Canara but it's okay.

If you already have account then just apply from mbanking App.

Yes it is available while opening acc. As already told you can get Masterworld DC anytime. Both will work if you want to. They won't deactivate first one. With canara you can have 3 DC on same account.

The variant is Mastercard, master world contactless, right?
If I take it in my name, will the guest able to use without my presence?

Not mine card but I did registered my brother's card on loungekey and it is not necessary. It just registers you and provides normal infomration which is already with us like 2+2 and $35 etc per member hold. History shows no info. and it is 404 error page always. But useful to know which lounges are part of LOUNGEKEY program as you can easily find on website or App.

So you can use it without registration too but at terminal your card should be swiped on a LoungeKey POS else on other POS terminal like dreamfolks one, VISA based, Priority Pass etc, it will wither decline or if not, you will be charged normal lounge price of USD 35$ which won't be reversed. In TnC, Canara has specifically asked customers to tell lounge operator to swipe on loungkey terminal or present yourself as a LoungeKey member only. eSigning is necessary on POS which you can do with your hand or e-Pen if available with you or operator.

Statement will show LOUNGEKEYCOM or if swiped on other POS terminal it will show Lounge Name only which means your charges wont be reversed. But I assure you, most of time operators know which terminal to use when you tell them you are a Loungekey member.

P.S: Here terminal means POS machine/POS terminal not airport terminals.

You don't need to find or tell operator for loungekey POS terminal on domestic lounge. Here you can simply swipe card at any machine if that lounge has tie up like Encalm Lounge in New Delhi IGI. It will charge Rs.25 and instantly reverses you back. On Airports inside India, you can swipe on any machine, it doesn't matter. Some people get confused that for International flights, their lounge access will be applied to international one but no till you swipe your card within India for lounge access it is counted towards domestic usage.

Anyways, LoungeKey is a MasterCard program and Master has it on all the lounges on international airport lounges. You can check the list of lounge on https://www.loungekey.com/en/canarabank/

When you visit, on all these lounges you will find at front gate Loungekey, Dreamfolks etc. written. You just need to tell operator at reception that you are a loungekey member and they know their job of what to do.

Many POS machines on Aiport lounges have multiple access for different card networks and operator just select it on touchscreen before swiping your card.
