Edit: Brother was able to apply card through Canara mobile banking app. So ignore the post below now. He applied, got it and travelled and used it on intl lounge.

IMPORTANT:

Communication to all the Canara bank Mastercard World Card Holders on how to Access Lounge Key (Outside India):

“In order to get access to the lounge, cardholders need to enable International Ecommerce transactions “

Note 1: Please ensure your card is enabled for E-commerce, Contactless and international transactions

Note 2: Mastercard Airport Experiences is provided by Lounge Key. Lounge Key gives you access to hundreds of airport lounges around the world, regardless of airline or class of travel, simply by presenting your Canara Bank MasterCard World Card.

Note 3: To avail Lounge Key facilities customer should have an available balance/limit of $ 35 in his Debit /Credit Card as there is an USD 35 pre-auth/hold per person which will be placed for a period of 14 days .If customer is eligible for his free lounge Quota the pre-auth will get released and no money will get debited from the Customer Debit /Credit Card. If Customer free lounge quota is finished then they will be charged on actual basis

Lounge Key members enjoy the following benefits:

 Complimentary Lounge-Key membership for cardholders
 Access to over 1400 lounges in more than 400 cities in over 120 countries globally
 4 complimentary ( 2 Self & 2 Guest ) visit accesses per calendar year

To get access to a lounge:
1. Present your Canara Bank Mastercard Card at the participating lounges and identify yourself as a Lounge Key member to avail access to the lounges

2. The operator will also confirm the number of guests entering the lounge, if any guests are accompanying the cardholder.
3. The operator at the lounge will swipe the Canara Bank card on a Loungekey terminal.
4. A USD 35 pre-auth/hold per person will be placed for a period of 14 days.
5. If the visit is paid by the cardholder or if the visit has a guest, then the amount will be debited.
6. Such a visit will appear as “Lounge.com” in the statement.

Bro, not for me but recommended to brother as it has Intl Lounge access for self+2 guests as complimentary once a year with hold of $35 per person after swipe which gets refunded after 14 days. Already mentioned loungekey in topic.

Just now got clarification from Canara that it is available in App now to apply. I just wanted to know how others here (if any) got it as wasn't able to find to apply via netbanking? Brother didn't checked app before but now applied it and will have to wait 5-10 days to get it delivered. Only after receiving will be able to tell which one they sent. There are no issuance charges but annual charge of Rs.1000+180.

I searched many cards but most of them had guest as chargeable for Intl lounges in foreign.

U can apply other rupay select dc has international lounge but not guests

I know about most of the DCs including RuPay select/platinum that have access but only for cardholders. My brother needed it for guest which icludes his child as kids can't have their own DC. His Regalia Priority Pass allows guest only by paying for them. So this one fits the best and as he already have an account, I asked him to go for it.

Get directly enrolled in idfc Welath
With 10 lakh IP
It has 3+2
2+1 for guest

Or even select at 3 lakh has but less guest
Check it out more convenient

Or just ask anyone to share their lounge key qr bro

There is no way you can apply for this card via Customer Care or EMail or even Internet/Mobile Banking. There is special Debit card apply website at Canara which is under maintenance from long amd infected to malware.

With Internet Banking, only 8 (4 Rupay + 2 VISA + 2 Master) card shows up.

So those who applied and got it share their way of how they got things done at Branch.

P.S: I don't have acc. but my brother has and he needs it.

Already mentioned bro. My brother applied it from app itself yesterday. I read everything about it incl. charges on websites few days ago while finding a card with intl access for lounges and guest allowed. 🙂

@Vasuki My brother don't have IDFC acc. I have and I mostly travel with my own cards for self access. Now as query is resolved and card applied with Canara will wait for delivery and share time taken for delivery with you.

Update on Usage of Canara Master World Debit Card at International Airport Lounge:

So my brother used his Canara Master World Debit Card on Oct 10th, 2024 at Plaza Premium Lounge at Terminal 2, Melbourne Airport, Australia.

He used it first time so yearly complimentary 2 Self + 2 Guest were left on card. At lounge reception he asked the operator to swipe the Canara Bank Debit card on loungekey POS Terminal and she did the same for 1 Self + 2 Guest and As per TnC, a $35 USD per person i.e $105 were charged to card which came nearly Rs.9136.22 on that day and on Oct 19, 2024, the same amount was reversed to account.

Points to remember before swiping card.

All your international txns should be enabled and amount equal to $35 per person should be available else it will decline. So before he left for Australia, I activated Intl Txns on Debit card and set Rs.25000 limit at POS/Online/Tap to Pay (In India tap to pay has 5000 max. limit).

This same card provides domestic lounge access also within India per quarter with 2 Self + 1 Guest free. He used the same i.e 1 Self + 1 Guest at New Delhi IGI Terminal 3 Encalm Lounge at International departures and Rs.25 Mastercard fee was debited and credited back instantly. For kid, he swiped his own PNB Platinum Rupay Debit card on which Rs.2 were charged which was not refunded.

Overall this Canara Master World Debit Card is a gem for international travellers who seek lounge access for self and family. Charges are Rs.1000 +180= 1180 per year. More info. at https://canarabank.com/pages/Mastercard-World-Debit-Card

Not mine card but I did registered my brother's card on loungekey and it is not necessary. It just registers you and provides normal infomration which is already with us like 2+2 and $35 etc per member hold. History shows no info. and it is 404 error page always. But useful to know which lounges are part of LOUNGEKEY program as you can easily find on website or App.

So you can use it without registration too but at terminal your card should be swiped on a LoungeKey POS else on other POS terminal like dreamfolks one, VISA based, Priority Pass etc, it will wither decline or if not, you will be charged normal lounge price of USD 35$ which won't be reversed. In TnC, Canara has specifically asked customers to tell lounge operator to swipe on loungkey terminal or present yourself as a LoungeKey member only. eSigning is necessary on POS which you can do with your hand or e-Pen if available with you or operator.

Statement will show LOUNGEKEYCOM or if swiped on other POS terminal it will show Lounge Name only which means your charges wont be reversed. But I assure you, most of time operators know which terminal to use when you tell them you are a Loungekey member.

P.S: Here terminal means POS machine/POS terminal not airport terminals.
