CC application agent related issue

Hi --

To begin with, I'm an existing axis customer with a axis FK card.
I applied for a myzone card on day X because i thought why not. I got sms of my application number that day.
Day X+1 -> I get a agent who visits me in office and asks me to resubmit my PAN, adhaar, biometrics and salary slip for Re-KYC. I thought I wouldnt need to as when I logged in, all my details were already present in the axis portal as I already have a card with them.
Day X+2 -> I get a sms with new application number.

Agent says its because there was incomplete office address (He's lying) and that i had clicked on an option saying I'm already a customer but I'm not because I dont have a savings acc with axis. The latter is true but even without savings acc customers have cutomer ID in axis. And he says he fixed those 2 things and the new application number is a continuation of the old one. The 2 application numbers are completely different and have day X and X+2 on them.

Is this how it works ? or does he just want to add another application under his belt ? and Will i have 2 hits on my cibil ? If yes, what can i do ?
 
About cibil hits - you'll be fine , I've applied 4 cards in 1 month barely any drop in score.
And the agent might have applied for a different card offline to fulfill his Target.
 
Yes I also faced the same, agent came and taken all details then got new second application number.

What happened to your two applications now, are they approved? After second new application is any agent visit again for kyc or for pick-up docs?
