Checking HDFC pre-approved cards triggered CIBIL enquiry

I check HDFC pre-approved offers on this link regularly - https://applyonline.hdfcbank.com/credit-cards/pre-approved-credit-cards.html

Never had an CIBIL enquiry just because of checking pre-approved offers. But yesterday when I checked, a hard enquiry hit CIBIL. Can I dispute the enquiry?

It seems that banks won't do anything unless forced by the RBI Banking Ombudsman.

Same happened with me..

Whenever i dropped mail to their credit card team...they Reversed the enquiry within 20 days 😁..

Inform them.. They will reverse it...

after selecting cc, it doesn't say anything about cibil anywhere.. hdfc did a inquiry on my cibil where i didn't apply for nothing.. no cc no loans...

I'm an existing HDFC Bank customer (Have a Savings account with them), and no matter whatever link I used to check for my eligible credit cards, it is yet to add a hard enquiry in my CIBIL report. I had only entered my mobile number and date of birth instead of PAN though. The last time I checked it was in the mid of August. And I have a premium subscription of CIBIL too, but I don't see any enquiry from HDFC Bank yet.

Moreover, when I got my Tata Neu Infinity Credit Card using the Tata Neu app in the last week of August, even for that HDFC didn't put any enquiry in my CIBIL report. (It is my first credit card from HDFC Bank, and they generated the card number within 5 minutes.)

However, enquiries from IDFC FIRST Bank and Axis Bank were reflected in my CIBIL report the same day I applied for their cards.

I also got similar response. I think we need to go to grievance.redressalcc@hdfcbank.com
