Usually it should make a big jump upto 750 ish in 2-3 month

Exactly. I had regalia forst, bank refused to upgrade. So when 3rd party approached in our office, i took regalia. But as you can't have more than one hdfc cc (except co branded), had to close older.

Yup. They are not very keen on increasing. When i requested RM about limit increase, they asked 3 months salary slips and provided link to fill form, print and mail it to Chennai office via them. All for mere 2k limit increase.

Close it no problem, even if there is any effect, it’s only going to be short lived..

I checked in gpay cibil predictor, it actually shows that cibil will increase by 5 points, if i close immediately.

Yeah. You should start monitoring cibil score from now on. Every week. Use Gpay, Onescore, airtel app, axis cibil. These are spam free app/websites.

Closing oldest has much value .
If other card is much newer compared to oldest .

According to the CIBIL simulator, If I close my oldest card, my score will increase by 2. Only god knows their algorithm.

Basically 5 years is a kind-of threshold for more stable score

Closing my oldest account ( loan - bnpl Flipkart) increased my score 😎

That is also correct. It also depends on other factors..
Cibil is the most consistent among the 4 and their simulator worked 💯 for me in the last 3 years
