Close HDFC add on card with same number and issue new one

I got an add on card for my wife on my previous card about 2 years back. Now my card got upgraded and they send the card with the same number again. I found out that HDFC add on card now comes with different number as well. How do I get it for my wife ?

Well I also received same reply from Imperia relationship team. But later I was able to cancel the add on card over call. I guess the credit card and Relationship teams are different and perhaps you guys connected to your relationship team.

Am sure it was the credit card team (ext 2) on the ivr.
Maybe they took your request on call since your status was Imperia.. but I am at Preferred and they still insisting on sending physical copy.

Both primary and Addon have the same number for me as well

Wha lt if apply new add on card for existing hdfc customer. She has same number add on card.
So if I applied new, will old de activated?

When u will apply for customer with already add-on card, new add-on application will not go through online.
I cancelled my same number add-on through my RM and after cancellation (once card is removed from account) then applied new one. Got the diff numbers card in 3 days

Can you cancel add on through RM? I was told that I need to send cancellation request to Chennai for add on cancellation. RM refused to take the request.

My RM unable to do it. I activated card today only.
