Closed my IDFC Power Plus

TF Premier
I used SBI BPCL in past but closed it as I had to raise requests for getting points credited, took IDFC Power Plus couple of months back, Closed it today too. Used it 3 times in this cycle on HP Pumps but didn't get any points, using HP Pay give points but most of Pumps discourage you and not let you use HP Pay, also it's cumbersome process. This card don't reimburse fuel surcharge, don't give any points on Rupay UPI spends. Final verdict don't take it.

Then SBI bpcl cc are still the king for fuel spends

Agreed, but if we keep specific petrol pumps if they are creating that should be easy, if we keep on changing fuel stations it's difficult.

That's why I sticked to one in local and another pump in outside where I frequently travel.
I spend 10,000+ monthly on fuel ⛽ but not able to get a card which consistently give points.

Ah you mean no RPs on fuel if paid via UPI

Even paid by card. You have to use machine given by HP or QR code of HP Pay but petrol pump employees desist as they have to mandatory generate bill for it. They will ask you to pay in Paytm etc POS or QR code of Paytm or phonepe. How many times you will fight with them to pay in HP provided code?

False choice but good advice

Yes HP pay isn't easily accepted everywhere but you need to fix a petrol pump preferably company owned & company operated.

In Delhi NCR noone so far has discouraged using it as they either simply deny accepting or accept it whole heartedly and I have been using it for a year now.

Yes fuel surcharge isn't there but they have increased the number of points you get which is better as while loading Hp Pay wallet the surcharge which was charged wasn't waived off but now you get equivalent points.

I love HP Pay as its the fastest way to pay for fuel in a single click as you already have money loaded.

It gives 3x RP on upi which us 0.5% which makes me use this card for small upi purchases clubbed with some CB providing UPI app. It makes me reach 1.5lk easily and not hold any other upi app.

It gives 5% upto 400 rp or rs 100 per month on utility and grocery txns (non upi). So I use that every month.

So it boils down to the acceptance of HP Pay and your use case. In your case definitely some other Fuel CC would be better if HP Pay isn't accepted.

Is this rule also applicable to the FIRST ₹500 cashback we get as Welcome benefit of this card? Have to use machine given by HP or QR code of HP Pay?

Also this HP Pay machine or QR code is ONLY available at HPCL petrol pumps right? No chance of it at IOCL or BPCL petrol pumps, right?

Also no fuel surcharge waiver at any pump either HP or any other.
