Closed Neu Infinity - What Next?

I closed my Tata Neu Infinity due to these reasons -

• Recently introduced fixed expiry of NeuCoins
• HDFC's refusal of LTF conversion

Living in a small town, my only usage of the card was at Tanishq, and there was a constant worry about coin devaulation / fixed expiry - the latter came true. I planned to stop purchasing from Tanishq, but ended up opening a Rivaah Advantage scheme, for which the Neu card would give me 5% effortlessly. From what I see in TF, they don't accept wallet payments for scheme payments. If that were allowed, I could manage Amazon vouchers at 5% using my Millennia.

Now I am at a loss thinking if I should again get Neu Infinity - perhaps from SBI, but I will straightaway lose a little money in the joining fee taxes. HDFC will want me to wait for six months at least. How do you people pay?

NeuCoins will not be accrued for Education payments
