Paid income tax using Amex via Canara Bank PG. It is working.

I tried using my Amex on Canara PG on the income tax website and it didn't work. I got an error message like this: "This card is not supported".
Has Amex been recently activated by Canara PG?

I am frustrated! I really wanted to use my Amex to pay 1.5 lakhs of taxes, but could not. And now it appears to start working.

it seems Canara PG was sending the transaction to Mastercard gateway, maybe that's why! I just paid via payzapp! I will try Amex since I have one payment remaining.
AmEx on Canara is still not working even for small payment of Rs 5000!

Yes, but payzapp limit is 1 lac/month. ALso HDFC charged 1% fee on Payzapp which doesn't make sense since it is like a debit card!

I paid my tax payment on Canara bank payment gateway just NOW using Amex Gold Charge and it worked fine.

I called CC and got the confirmation that I will get base reward points for gov payments
